@LowRangeNick What portals did you go with? Weld on, bolt on or replace the axles completely. Also it looks like the headlights have been changed. I really like whats been done to this rig! I travel too much to justify one of these but I want one!!
Hey mate! Its Christans 4wd if you check out boost adventures on youtube and instagram you will find him. It is a complete kit installed by marks 4wd adapters in Australia. 😁 lots of info on marks web page.
i watch a lot of your videos , good job , exept deep mud , i haven t seen a trail that this machine cannot conquer , whqt a beast !!!is it an automatic ?
Vdj 79r Im pretty sure Christian said it was a genuine accessory so should be able to get it from toyota. The toyota lettering has been painted though 😁
Hey Beej, with the portal axle conversion it is necessary to change the front hubs to air locking hubs. The diff locks are still the factory lockers. The compressor noise is the front hubs being locked in. Cheers!
Rowan Smyth I haven't hit my side steps yet with the portals axles fitted and I have just had a 2 inch suspension lift installed so its not much of a priority for me at the moment
I've seen one hit on one of your other vids and both rear doors are stoved in, they may go some way to lessen damage from sliding/ rocking sideways into walls and shit? Just my two cents worth! great looking cruiser though!
The drivers side was just a large stick that got picked up by the rear wheel and wedged itself between the door and side step. And the passenger side was a tractor tyre which flipped up but that was before the portals. But yes sliders are still on the To Do List 👍
No such thing! The Portal axle conversion modifies the front and rear diff housings to run a portal hub allowing an extra 6 inches of under diff clearance on 35's, when compared to a standard cruiser. Cheers Beej!
I can’t make it look that easy in my 76 he is an absolute weapon behind the wheel
Magnificent 4WD, superb off road driving! I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing.
I don’t know what sounds better, the V8 cruiser or the little laughs by the camera man after each it clears each obstacle haha
Beast is an understatement.
I think portal axles are the single best upgrade you can do to ANY 4X4... this is awesome.
It is very good driving!!! And diesel is sooo strong.
I do not believe I have seen a more capable machine. What a monster!
Unimog is more capable.
so sick, this defines my dream LC build
That thing is a TANK! It's just keeps going. 😎
An awesome vehicle that great capabilities. The dram car :)
I must say excellent driving skills
not sayin hes a bad driver at all but it certainly helps you look better if you have a pimped up cruiser with portal axles.. maybe a $200k car
@@terranowe Lol, you're right mate. But a weak driver can easily wreck even a 200k offroad modified truck on such a track.
Yeah very true too. No doubt he's doing well. I'm just envious.. good on him
The portals are awesome, more ground clearance and extra low ratio
The sound of that V8 beast!!!
What exhaust you have??
That thing is a weapon!
That's one sweet, capable Land Cruiser...but yeah, you should get some sliders on there mate. ;-)
I love that amazing car, congratulations friends 👏👏,
Thanks for sharing those happy moments, an endless joy to me 🌹🌹🌹
Some Tool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Proper 4x4 Capability!!! nothing more needed

Very satisfying
Missed the bit where the damage to rear passenger door was done. What an awesome machine
Excelente compilación, felicitaciones al conductor.
@Boost Adventures Did you have any issues getting the Portals engineered up here in QLD ? and what sort of coin ?
Nice Cruiser
He didnt have any issues as it is fully certified and legal in all states. 30k for the conversion all up i believe!
Is there a video on the car itself, like suspention set up ect
the giggling is a cute touch
guys got skillz
i watch a lot of your videos , good job , exept deep mud , i haven t seen a trail that this machine cannot conquer , whqt a beast !!!is it an automatic ?

Vdj 79r Im pretty sure Christian said it was a genuine accessory so should be able to get it from toyota. The toyota lettering has been painted though 😁

Very good job
What a weapon...
What a beast!!!
THANK YOU FOR DETAIL VIDEO
Now i hear how "Chuckles" got his nickname ...
Did you change to Auto gear too? Looks too smooth
Still a manual. Has a NPC 1300nm clutch kit to deal with the extra power from the Unichip Christian has put on it :D
Hats down to his skills. He picked the perfect line always. Looks too easy but all about his skills. Great videos mate. Cheers.
Nick is a very good spotter as well!! so half the credit has to go to him!!!
Where did you get those projector headlights from looking for some on my 76 .
I got them through Micks HID Retro fits, just keep in mind they are for "offroad use only"
What is you km/l on your portal axle vs on the stock?
Approx 17l per 100km I think Christian said. Completely standard they probably get between 12-15l per 100km
Thank you!
I'm am starting to get down to the low 14's but have just put a set of A/T tyres on it so have to wait and see if that makes a difference 👍
@@sjfourie2492 I've recently got a remap on the 76 and I've managed to get the economy down to 13.6L/100km loaded with camping gear on the highway!!
More than capable
what suspension mate?
Красота!
I want one. Damn!
spins wheels on grass.must be a thrill to have a v8 in this day & age.been in u.s for 65 yrs.diesel & petrol.
you do realise that australia has had Ls engines as long as america has, we have everything from european, japanse and Australian vehicles
Tyres are expensive!!! And 4wds aren't designed to do burnouts on the bitumen 🤷♂️
Job Done !!!!
I kept hearing a compressor. I thought these had factory lockers?
Hey Beej, with the portal axle conversion it is necessary to change the front hubs to air locking hubs. The diff locks are still the factory lockers. The compressor noise is the front hubs being locked in. Cheers!
Kitted but no rocksliders... why not?
Rowan Smyth I haven't hit my side steps yet with the portals axles fitted and I have just had a 2 inch suspension lift installed so its not much of a priority for me at the moment

Boost Adventures indeed a cool looking cruiser and great engine sound. Keep posting!
Rowan Smyth za@2
What will it do to the Gallon on road work ?
Does approx 16L per 100km
🚜💪🏻🔥
Thats an expensive toy that I envy to have.. ..
With this torque dont mean the same
Assalamualaikum bosku aku yudiber 👍🇲🇨❤️
Later he is going to take it to a paint shop just for a video
🤯
Might be a dumb question but are there portals on the rear too?
No such thing! The Portal axle conversion modifies the front and rear diff housings to run a portal hub allowing an extra 6 inches of under diff clearance on 35's, when compared to a standard cruiser. Cheers Beej!
What Kinda Money to Build this car please ?
Over 100k
@@LowRangeNick
Thank You.
Водила крут
Lockers are impressive, arent they?
هدا الشغول ولا بلاش
YOU NEED A LOUDER EXAUST
Can't make it louder without removing the DPF :(
Damn, glad i didn't get the 2017 model eh haha
why is the camera man giggling like that.
Does it handle better than stock on highway or does the lift make it unstable?
Its very similar to standard i believe 😊
the extra width from the portals makes it very stable on the highway!!
