    Shroud is not even making videos for the game that he is supposed to promote, he is making BO6, Deadlock and Steampunk videos. Spectre Divide is obviously not as cool as he thought since he is not making much content about his own game, he understands that it is boring to watch and thus you have lost the competitive scene because people need to be interested in watching to make it a popular steaming game. The current playerbase is 179-568 and Shroud ignores his own game, it is more fun to play mega popular games such as BO6.

    Why do you make a video about a game that you don't know in this fashion? It's all hearsay at this point and you should at least do a basic amount of research yourself so you know if the game you are talking about has an anti-cheat or not. You need at least a fundamental understanding of the game you are talking about in order to evaluate the reviews, instead of just listing what people said in the steam reviews. No offense but i really dislike people talking about stuff like they know a big deal about it when in fact they haven't even tried or seen it themselves. the game is honestly pretty good, i just think the day one was kinda bad because server issues. if people had actually took the time to try it and understand the game or had stuck with the game longer than 1 hour of play time (which was on day one of the game]. i want more game modes and honestly wish this was a 4v4 intead of the 3v3 casue u can play with more off your firends but i like it for what it is. not saying there are no issues but they are not as bad as some people swear they are. i love cs and i honestly could never have fun with valorant but this is actually a super good game and i wish people had the attention span to give it a chance instead of saying "imagine playing this over valorant" without even playing the game or giving it a fair chance. val is backed by riot, and cs is backed by valve, this is a small inde dev team so it is not going to be as polished off the rip as those games but they got a gem on their hands and if they stick with it i see something great coming.

    • @Nadestraight
      @Nadestraight  3 месяца назад

      A lot of the reviews I'm seeing, and some I posted in this video are from people with 10+ hours on the game, so I'd say that's a fair amount of time to judge the game and leave your thoughts. So I don't think the whole "if people took the time to try and understand the game" thing really applies to everyone. To some, it sure does, there will be a few that play 30 mins and dip, but you get that with every game these days especially multiplayer fps titles.
      And regarding it being by a small studio, I can tell you as a gamedev myself (I've worked on 3 games, over the last 5 years) nobody cares. That's the harsh reality, the vast majority of people just do not care how long it took, how small the team was, how much of your own money you spent making it, etc. They only care about the end product.

This needed to be in a few more years of development at most, the game feels unfinished when playing

    I believe that they released the game way too early. Literally immediately after playtesting without even updating a thing. Same bugs since playtest. I understand that they didn't want to kill the hype, but man, everything is sloppy, laggy movements, unbalanced guns. On top of that, they should have kept the skin pricing as low as possible (that's why I personally chose not to play the game anymore - high price at the very start of the released game indicates that they are having a difficult time making a profit = extremely high chance of failure if they are charging more than Valorant does).

    • @Nadestraight
      @Nadestraight  3 месяца назад

      They wouldn't have killed the hype, so if that was a reason for releasing so fast then I think they made a terrible call. They had shroud working on it, literally a couple streams of him playing along with some videos by big FPS gamers and that's your marketing done to create more hype, and the game clearly needed more time in the oven. Gamers are ruthless these days, if there are bugs and high prices they will rage online and leave bad reviews

    honestly have been loving the game, but theres a few things that stick out. for one, movement does not in any way feel good. the thick ass orange borders around the enemy is also a little weird, id rather not see that guy from 50m away through a small crack as i wouldnt want him to see me like that. but my main problem, and this is with every fps, STOP MAKING ALL THE COOL SKINS PAYED. like i get youre a smaller company, but if i want the new cyberlord skin bundle with the skin itself, i have to pay over $50 USD. i would have to buy the $50 bundle and another bundle to get the character that is fucking ridiculous, i can buy a full AAA title for that. and this is after them discounting the shop... idc what anyone says, no skin should cost any more than $10, and even then, that is still ridiculous. i dont know why we let companies do this, genuinely. skins are not actual content, paying the price of a full game for them needs to stop. this is coming from someone that buys every gold edition for games i play, currency packs when i support the company (which id like to do for spectre but i can buy shadow of the erdtree for less than a skin pack...), stupid expensive peripherals, i mean im a consumer lol, and i know many like me feel the same way. we are cool w giving you money, but for fucks sake, at least add nice free skins, and a lot of them. we miss grind based cosmetics, this is why space marine 2 has seen success.
    however i will say most people are rlly just mad bc bad. the guns honestly feel great, i assume everyone hating came from a hip fire focused fps game, which would make sense. other than the expensive ass skins, thick orange borders practically ruining tactical gameplay, and shitty clunky movement, i have been having a blast in this game. the duality makes for some crazy plays, and if you have played all the popular fps titles and got semi good at them (siege, val, cs, cod, etc.) then you will be a demon in this game. honestly, this is my favorite fps ive played in a long time. a real breath of fresh air. ive seen a couple people say its unoriginal, and to that i say go make an original fps game and come back lol, matter of fact go create anything fully completely original, it is nearly impossible from a fellow creative. this game is original as can be to be honest.

    Great video! I honestly like the game a lot. I don't have connection issues (germany, network buffering turned to minimum idk why). I think the weapons are balanced and it's fresh air overall in the shooter genre. Only thing I hate with all my heart is the amount of griefers and people that just straight up leave. No matter if I queue duo with a friend or solo. Only way to play it properly is as a trio. The solo queue experience is even worse than it is in Rocket League and Valorant. And to have a worse solo queue experience than Valo is an achievement, not a good one tho. I hope the player count rises, the anticheat gets better and griefers get f*#%ed very hard in some way. This game has potential. It is not your ordinary tac shooter or shooter in general and I would love to keep playing it. But how things are rn it's dead and shut down soon rather than growing and evolving into the heavily played game it can and should be. :/

Things like finding out you need to fix connectivity for some players, and core gameplay mechanics not being likeable should be fixed before release. And then like you say, players who leave a ton/ create a bad experience need to be punished, as they will push other players away causing further damage.

If they don't like it than it's just not their thing which is ok. Because it's the theme of the game and what makes it unique. But the connection thing I agree 100 %. They should have waited longer, get more servers in various countries and regions and advertise the game more and in better ways. Releasing to early could be the suicide of their game.
      But I still see a chance there. I mean psyonix pretty much doesn't give a shit about rocket league. They didn't do anything the last years. They made a freaking fortnite game mode that me and my bro can develop drunk in less than two weeks. They took out trading, a CORE feature of the game, never did anything about their horrible servers and people (like me) still play it. Because we know the game is still uniquely beautiful. Marketing did seem to be pretty bad, the game needed another 6 months in the oven and then they should've really used shroud to market some more, along with doing ads for the trailer etc, I don't think they did any advertising, the trailer has less views than some of my videos 💀

      @@Nadestraight I feel the people that have played it like it a lot which I feel is a big indicator but with a smaller studio behind it it’s tough. Hopefully the game grows organically but it’ll need a strong community of its own, players probably aren’t likely to switch fully from Deadlock Val or whatever else is out there as it is rn

    The genre is too oversaturated

      This is what happens, a couple games make big bucks from a genre and everyone copies for the next 4 years

      I've seen a few people saying they like the visuals as opposed to realistic graphics like CS

    At 4:50 you mention that games let you try to requeue after not being able to queue for more than 10 minutes. Can you give me an example, because I've never played a game that tells me to requeue. Just asking out of sheer interest.

      Recent games that come to mind would be Halo and Splitgate. Halo Infinite will literally give you a popup after 5 mins that says "Search ended, there may not be enough players" or something along those lines
