I was young once and I was in a committed relationship but seeing another woman on the side. When the main squeeze showed up and caught me with the side woman I pretended like I had told the main squeeze we were done and that she needs to leave as she had no business here and I was going to call security. Sounds like that’s what the boyfriend was doing. He got caught red handed and he turned on one of them.
