This helped me a lot. Thank You!! you are the MAN!!
Had to do this on my Fh580v, it was also leaking badly at governor seal. Other than these two leaks, the Kawasaki seems like a good engine on my gravely. Thanks MowerMedic1!
Great info man , ENJOYED !!
You deserve my thumbs up my friend, thank you for your video.
Good to know video!! Thanks
Thank you.
Any idea if the Fh770d uses the same style breather? I have a lot of oil leaking on my 28hp exmark and it look to be coming from that area
Im assuming this also applies to an FH680V? Cover and gasket are completely different and mine still had the sock in it.
I have the Kawasaki FH721D 25 hp engine on a ZTR mower, was a new
replacement engine 4 years ago, developed a leak, so I replaced the o-ring for the oil cooler, still leaks. I'm finding information about your fix on a vertical engine but mine is a horizontal crankshaft. hope it's about the same problem?
Good info and video. Do you have the part number for the new kit? Thanks for great video's.
Any luck here?
@@loganhowell562 Not yet.
Did you ever get the part numbers for the kit?
Is that just for that model motor or what????
I work on small engines but first time on a Kawasaki vertical shaft vtwin. I have a FR730V I just picked up on a gravely mower. It runs great, Has good compression, cuts well. Machine is almost new with 80 hours on it. The problem I am having is it will randomly smoke a lot and then randomly not at all. I would say it smokes for about 30 seconds, clears up for 30 seconds and then starts smoking again. I also just noticed a small oil leak coming from under the fan shroud. I am assuming it is the gasket you are replacing but I was wondering if you think the smoking could be from that valve inside. I am going to tear into it tomorrow and check the cylinder walls with my camera to verify that the cylinder isnt worn and still has cross hacthing. Thanks for your help.
Did you ever solve this problem? I am having the exact same problem with a fr691v on a Gravely.
Overfilled or need to update the engine breather
@@medamit yes I did. I ended up having to hone the cylinder and put new rings in it
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 I thought that’s what mine was also but I put a camera in each cylinder and all the cross hatching was gone. Cylinder was smooth inside. Hasn’t had a issue since the new rings
Only a suggestion and that is to first show a overview of engine and what’s it is on.
And proceed to what you are about to do. Only a suggestion. Thanks for reading
Parts numbers?
Your audio kept fading in and out , sounded muffled at times , then could barely hear you .
something wrong with sound on my end , don't think it's my iPad . Good video , could hear you barely.
Where can I find a replacement breather kit for a fr691v motor? I've looked online e and can't find it.
Any Kawasaki dealer
Hi there I need some help with a hammerhead go kart and I was wondering if you would be willing to help
Sure what’s up
Do you have information where I can get this exact part?? I've ordered 3 different wrong ones!
Model and serial ?
Hey Logan, I see you posted yesterday, crazy, but I got the same problem. I found the kit on ereplacmentparts.com (I am not affiliated) but I do order from them often.
on the site, just search your engine model number.
My dealer has no idea about this!!! They sell toro and kawisaki engines.
Could this be where my oil leak is on my fh451v 15hp?
More than likely
Inch pounds lol
