Sam Turner - Number 10

Last year I didn't put the Christmas lights up
Last year I didn't decorate the tree
Last year I didn't cook a big old turkey
I didn't see the point, when it was only me
And last year I didn't even see my family
Cos I was told to stay at home instead
There was no Christmas cheer, but I'm changing that this year
I'm gonna party like they do at number 10
I can't wait till we're all playing twister,
Arms and legs all flying in the air
Who cares about being socially distanced?
As long as we can play musical chairs
Oh I've got a quiz that we can all take part in
And I already know I'm gonna win
Cos if I think I'm gonna lose, then I'll just change the rules
Yeah let's party like they do at number 10
So wear your Christmas jumpers, put on your party hats
We're gonna have a real good time
But remember, if anybody asks
It's just a business meeting, it's only cheese and wine
Only cheese and wine!
But really, we'll all be drinking champagne
Swanky gins and other kinds of booze
And we'll order from the most expensive take away
Caviar, and other finger food
Cos this year I ain't taking any chances
I've thought it through, and it just makes so much sense
Cos everybody knows, you can't even catch a cold
If you party like they do at number 10

Just remember, if anybody asks

And when it feels like the party's ending
Once all the booze, and all the food has gone
Once everybody's had enough of dancing
And everybody's sang their favourite songs
I'll make a speech, and thank everyone for coming
Say "I can't wait until next week, to do it again"
Then before everyone goes, we'll take a nice big group photo
Why spend Christmas all alone?
