The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.

No marriage for Amy to anyone . Ty the only person for her. He is her soul mate. This is a love story for everyone to watch and a family and I'm sure they would learn a lot for their lives to build on. Ty and Amy to forever ❤❤

There focus is on how many divorcees Amy can date and have no concern about Lyndy and her need for a responsible mom! Family values have no room for soap opera! If season 18 will be the final season of Heartland I think Graham should return to his daughter and Amy. When Season 14 Ty fell and Jack and Amy was over him, he wasn’t pronounced dead. Then a caption came on the screen which said one year later, Amy rides to the house and was remembering what the doctor had said, but what he had to say that and the Urn that was given to Amy had something else in there not Ty’s ashes. The writers and producers can find away, if Graham wanted to come back, which I think he should for his fans if this is the last season to end Heartland on a good note. Heartland is what got him to where he is now. Then they can all go do what makes them happy, just my opinion

See once again you writers get the fans somewhat excited with mentioning Ty's return then you through in the return of him in flashbacks etc! That will not do! No one wants that, that is not a return to Amy/Lyndy! Either tell us will Graham Wardle return in the flesh or will he not!! Quit leading the true fans on! If he is not then a large portion of the fans will not focus on dialing in to watch late this fall! It's that simple! They are just hoping fans will stay with the show regardless of him not coming back! Guess we will see! My money is on the audience will drop off in numbers! How can Amy marry Nathan when she is not divorced
I pray she never marries the over aged divorcee but she could as Ty is dead and Nathan is supposedly no longer married as he said he was divorced! And Amy's history with loser men(other than Ty of course) wouldn't surprise me! Just saying from beautiful foothills of Alberta 🇨🇦🤠🐎
