Do Sire do a parlor guitar? Love the feature although I suspect Mike could make any box with strings on sound beautiful but I do prefer smaller body acoustics

P.S. if you ever get the chance, check out the Harley Benton D-120 CE series (I just bought the D-120CE NT) $67 USD! Sounds like it would be really bad right? WRONG. Cutaway body, EQ/input jack for amps and after you put decent stings on it, it sounds GORGEOUS. I'm SHOCKED at what I got for the price! (Only had to toss $35 for international shipping from Germany on to the cost) I can NOT complain!
So what are the chances of you and Mike doing what you and Rob have done? I think If you guys teamed up to create an acoustic guitar brand you'd really have something... #JustAThought...

Lee's face and reaction said it all.. I love little beautiful music moments like this 11:40. Mike had the perfect "talk music" going on there and just adorned it with such a lovely movement there. Drums and bass were my first love but man I have a sucker for my nylon and steel acoustic guitars now. such versatility. I used to just correlate them with country music lol which was not my thing ( I have even changed a bit on that too) ahh growth.
I bought an R3 had it for a few days now, what a guitar for the money! Great sound both plugged in and acoustically, just really full sounding. Was almost in tune out the box 🤣
I bought the R3 Grand Auditorium with cutaway for my son before seeing this video. I found Andertons have the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff I have ever encountered in a music shop. This wiped the floor with other models within the price range. Epiphone, Sigma, Yamaha and the cheaper Faith models. I would suggest trying the pickup system as it is truly astounding for a guitar of this price as Mike demonstrates here.

Don’t really need another acoustic as I have 5 and when I saw the title I thought yeah bet these are £3k plus but then saw they’re sub £700?!!! 😮
So I have to get one now! That sungha Jung one looks and sounds awesome! And I need all the rosewood I can get in my life before it all runs out!

I would never pay a premium for a signature but this 'Sungha Jung model' is the same price - £699.Unfortunately, it is not a 'signature' but it may appreciate in ten years time?

My Sire A7 came a few days ago. Thanks for putting them in the sale. It came at £100 off normal price, So I grabbed one quick. I admit I was worried not being able to make it all the way to Guildford to try it out. I had no need to worry, its bloomin awesome just as Mike and the Captain stated. A big thanks guys for a great guitar and fab honest service🎸👍😊

Just to let you all know, I ordered the R3 Grand Auditorium with magnetic pickup shortly after I posted on the 9th. Just arrived here in France on the 11th!!!! Great work, Andertons!
Initial impressions...
Sound: Really nice, has a good bright forward sound, with a decent bass end. Which is exactly what i wanted. As a part time guitarist, this is mainly for recording, so any (minor) lack in the bass end, is easily remedied in post. Blend between magnetic and piezo works nicely to give a really good, clear sound when DI'd. And acoustically, it is exactly what i needed. Nice midrange, too. Some guitars I have tried at around this price are a bit "boxy". None of that here. My only gripe, is that when it arrived, there is a connector inside the guitar which goes from the magnetic Pickup and it should be glued down somewhere inside the body. This has come unstuck, and therefore rattles around bit inside. No biggie, I can easily re-stick it down, but necessitates removing the strings to get inside of course. Doesn't sound whilst playing the guitar, though.
So, overall i'm really pleased. I think the guitar lives up to the video review, and the only remaining issue i have is that my fingers are used to 10 gauge strings, and after half an hour of strumming, the fingertips on my left hand are pretty sore!
Thanks to Andertons, and Mike Dawes. Great service, great guitar, and one happy camper over here! Best £300 i have spent in a long time!

I’ve seen mike Dawes a couple of times live......it’s a fantastic experience, and he’s such a humble , incredible player. I’d highly recommend anyone to make the effort to get to one of his shows

I LOVED this video. I have watched hundreds of review videos and comparisons over the past few weeks to the point that it has become an obsession. But everytime I watched the other videos I was thinking to myself, "I need to try these to be sire of them." But with these Sire guitars and the way you talked about them, I'm completely sold.

@ 18:50 Not actually a stereo cable, although it indeed CAN be used for stereo. Or Balanced connections. It is actually called TRS... Tip, Ring, Sleeve. What they actually do is dependent on what you use the cable for. Simply means you can have 3 electrical paths going through the plug.
You are correct sir, here, have an upvote. In the context of guitarplaying and guitargear, they are often called steroecables though, since getting a stereo sound is mostly what they are used for in that context.
Thanks for the (all too rare!) upvote! And yes, on some guitars they call it stereo... which usually means you can output the bridge and neck pickups separately. As a lifetime member of the Pedantry Society, this still isn't "Stereo" but i'll let that pass.
@@timbeaton5045 I'm the same, I try to take every possibility I can to teach the people around me about the real names and function of gear and equipment used. But sometimes one just have to accept that some words and expressions and the way they are used is here to stay; language is malleable like that. In the case with the so-called "Stereo cables", seeing since a guitar signal normally is Mono, it's understandable that one would call a cable capable of stereo a "Stereo Cable" to differentiate it from a "normal" mono one, no matter what it's real name is. Another example is that here in Sweden, the normal TS cables used as instrument cables is called "tele-cables" because of their use in old telephone switchboards back in the day. Same thing with XLR cables, most people i know, including proficient musicians, call them simply microphone-cables, since it's what they mostly have ssen them beeing used for.
Make Dawes is awesome. Love his playing style. For any doubters of Andertons; they aren't the #1 guitar store for nothing. Good move by the captain for stocking these!

I wonder if they'll start hiking the prices? My first Freshman FA400 (dreadnought) was just £300 brand new from a store in Glasgow. I didn't really know what I was buying at the time, just that it looked and sounded decent to my untrained ears in store. But as I played it, almost incessantly over the next 12 months, it became apparent that it was a very special guitar indeed (I can say without exaggeration that it was better than a friend's Martin D28 - something which he could never quite grasp). Anyway, convinced of its brilliance, and despite the fact I didn't need another dread, I went back to buy another identical model, only to discover that the price was now £1000! Yup that's it, a £700 hike in RRP. Even now, after the introduction of 2 new flagship models, the FA400 can't be had for anything less than £800! Clever marketing indeed. Suck them in with low prices, get people talking, then BOOM wack the price up. Even now, assuming quality is the same, the FA400 is worth every penny and these Sire's could well be an equivalent.
Just a small criticism. If you’re reviewing an acoustic guitar it would be nice if there were more acoustic playing. Surely the majority of people who watch do not perform on stage and do not plug-in. Something to bear in mind for the future.
I was thinking the same thing. Budget guitars for couch players who are more interested in the unplugged sound. Maybe Danish Pete could do a follow up from that angle?

I believe these are sold as Orangewood guitars in the U.S. now.
They get fantastic reviews from their $199 USD to their solid wood $899 USD guitars......each come with a gig bag or a fantastic hard case.
That was just great to watch. I also realised that I absolutely need a Sire acoustic.

Great sounding guitars at a great price, however many fingerstylists prefer a wider 1 3/4"/45mm nut and as far as I can see all their models are 43mm!

Can't find these beautiful Sire R7 models here in 2022, you had me sold. Looks like maybe they've been discontinued. Nothing on the web that I can find, at least not here from Canada. Shame, I was sold on buying one complete with hard case.
Honestly every time I see this guy I think he's cocky. BUT the thing is, he ACTUALLY backs it up. He's an amazing guitarist.

Very impressive guitars. Will guitars like these sound the death knell for Taylor, Martin and Gibson in the UK? We now have Sire, Faith, and several others producing excellent solid wood guitars at great prices. At one fifth of the price of the US guitars and apparently the same or very similar spec they are bound to have an impact.
Guys it's really simple. The 3 series is priced at 300GBP. The 7 series is priced at 700GBP.
Could we see a comparison between these, Faith and Dowina guitars... they all fall at similar price points and all seem like they are killer value for money

- take the guitar you're not really satisfied with anymore
- put it into Mike's hands for a couple of minutes
- fall in love with it once again
Just wondering if any other Sire owners have opinions on strings? - I picked up a 2nd Hand R3 recently, but it was more or less as new. I fitted some Elixir Nanoweb 11's to it. It sounds pretty nice. Obviously I'm not going to buy loads of different brands just to test them so was after any thoughts/opinions on string choice.
Dammit Lee, now I need one of these acoustics...I don't even play acoustic.

hi, the 7 series didn't sell for long, I have the r 3 and it does have a nice tone. lookout for a good second-hand one. if buying a sire again id go into the shop and try it against a £300 Yamaha just to be sure, Tony
3 series trim on a 7 series guitar would be a good move for those who dislike the bling.

These certainly seem to be excellent guitars for the price, but tbh you could stretch rubber bands over a shoebox and Mike Dawes could make it sound glorious.
Just a pointer with the pronunciation of Sungha Jung's name, the U sound in his first and last name is closer to the U found in 'run' instead of the U sound in 'moon'. Also the J in Jung is like the J in 'jar'

I went to see Justin Haywood at the Wycombe Swan Theatre on the 15th September and Mike Dawes played the first 30min set of his own music, boy he can play. Brilliant guitarist, wish I could play even 25% as good as Mike can, but too much water has gone under
the bridge for me now. By the way love these new electro acoustic guitars, they sound wonderful, better than my Yamaha CPX-500 MK3.

I quickly flicked through the specs of these guitars on the Andertons website and couldn't find one that didn't contain rosewood. Surely that's going to limit your international sales somewhat? CITES is a pain. And from an environmental perspective, it would be nice to see more brands moving away from using rosewood, especially for fretboards and bridges.
On an unrelated note, have you stopped stocking Larrivee? It seems to have vanished from your brand list.

Love you Lee and love andertons, how ever,.. this love fest segment reminds me of that DOUCHE on TV selling his 100 dollar guitars and learn music DVD , .. he wears that funny hat, forget his name , probably because his music career is forgotten also, honestly i never heard of him until i saw his infomercials, which sadly back to my point this segment, especially "how can the afford to give you such quality at that price " which aforementioned DOUCHE is asked constantly in his infomercials... the Gibson segment and the blindfolded segment in which Pete was able to even tell what brand it was, were so much better.... those tuning pegs recycled bicycle tires... lol.

I had to send ist back, Andertons service is really bad, worst ever experienced - which is a shame .. the first guitar, after I ordered had suddenly „issues“, the next one arrived with the worst setup and 13th string - I asked for a low string action and thin strings ( 11th ). Unfortunatly ist was nearly imppossible to play, so as far as I can say a really bad guitar for me. They were not able to send a tool thruss rod to adjust the neck, there was none delivered! - not one of my ones matched!! I own 23 guitars and played nearly 40 gigs last year, so I would say I have some experience - still maybe you‘ll be luckier 😉

Jens .. the strings were much to far away from the fretboard .. of you can check the guitar at the shop and ask if the neck is adjustable 😉 Good Luck ✌️

The sound system sounds very much like the Carl Clark guitars, from Melbourne Australia . All solid Australian solid woods.
So me and my friends went to the guitar shop and I was completely sure the guitar (a yamaha) that I would buy. I tried a whole bunch of guitars. One of the salesman started playing the A3. My friends and I immediately said what the heck is that guitar and they both turn to me say buy it immediately. I picked it up and it sounds awesome Rs 32000 along with an awesome hard case. The hard case was Rs5500, so the guitar was 26500.
Really good stuff, and so interesting. Want to see/hear the follow-on after Mr Dawes re-strings and has some time to play around as he wishes :)
So good to see/hear inventive acoustic music. Must keep Acoustic Parradiso running along. This one was/is special :)
Great video - ordered one right away.
I wish I knew years ago what I know now. My first acoustic was an Ibanez exotic wood that was $500. It's Maple, so it's heavy and dense. Not very loud at all for an acoustic. These sounds so much more lively, better electronics, solid back and sides, and for only a little bit more.
I'd love to hear mike playing an African blackwood with sinker redwood top by lowden though, price is insane but just out of curiosity!.

These seem pretty high quality. Shame the amp had the reverb a bit too high. Also, what an acoustic guitar player you brought in! Mike is the real deal.
