You guys are genius! I have been studying ABA for 5 years and no one was able to explain it better than you guys. Thank you so much for putting the time and effort to do those videos; you have no idea how important they are to our community.
Where have you been all my college life?? I have lived through 2 years of being a psychology student and I really only fully understood the concept of the experimental and quasi exp. designs because of you. Thank you very much
Can do a video on MBD with and reversal? Im concfused because I thought a pro of MBD was that you can avoid reversal. Can you also say the pros and cons of your designs? Your videos are helpful and takes the stress away. Thank-you 😊
Well that’s the beauty of science. You can mix and match. You often use MBs where a reversal is impossible, but it’s not mutually exclusive but why not just do it as a standard reversal instead? Just depends on the scenario and what question you’re trying to answer.
What are some examples of inappropriate baseline variables? Do behaviors need to be functionally different in order to collect appropriate baseline data?
Great questions. I'm not sure what you mean by inappropriate. If there is a behavior you are trying to increase or decrease across individuals, settings, that may not be amenable to a reversal/withdrawal design then these are generally appropriate. Generally. Of course, you could also be testing the effectiveness of a particular procedure across different behaviors as well. Not that I'm aware of. But if something effects more than one behavior then you'll be able to detect it when it happens because of the overlap. Behaviors with different functions may not be sensitive to the same intervention.

Does a multiple baseline have to have 3 settings, subjects or behaviors? Can it just be two?
Can be two!
time to buy a clip mic lads
We have one (lavalier) but that ruins the effect - so we stuck with the shotgun mic this time.
Waste of time
