last word of advice is really true, do not FOMO into any investments. Try to learn and understand more about the markets and the stocks we want to buy. Do not always think we miss the boat because maybe we never were intend to board the boat anyway.
I disagree with AK. I have 100% in reits which is worth 5 mil bought this year vs 0% in banks. So far im about 20% total return profit about 1mil in. While both reits and banks have about 6% div yield, entry point in reits is alot safer than banks. AK fails to see this, and my view is banks are overpriced and upside is capped. Reits have plenty to catch up. Lets see
Really great video love the humour too. Credit to all concerned! Really good advice in there esp about trusting yourself, not blindly listening to others. Loved the analogy about missing boats.
Great Video. Everyone should have their own strategy to to investing. SG is quite limited in options to invest. So I think adding some global etf is a better choice. Better to preserve wealth as well. I'm worried that rate cuts will hit the Banks very hard.
Book Value = Total Assets - Total Liabilities. You then divide Book Value by the by the Number of Outstanding Shares to derive Book Value per Share. Hope this helps!
Why would anybody buy Sg bond offering 2.7% only? My bank and gold portfolio up 30% over. My self-managed superannuation fund 20% over return. Singapore savings bond is for lazy investors if you ask me.
when asked why he is saving cash, this guy just said warren buffet keeps a stash of money. but buffet also publicly said he does not like or invest in gold regardless of physical or digital form. yet he goes with it. so is this guy selectively following buffet??

Thanks! Building a dividend portfolio follows the same principles regardless of capital size. Prioritize high-quality stocks with solid business fundamentals, a proven track record of dividend growth, and a consistent payout ratio.
@@TheFifthPersonChannel Thank you! Yes, your points are 💯 true! I think I worded my real question poorly. Instead of account balance, I should have framed it about investing timelines (closer to retirement vs not). You guys are awesome!

Citibank is streamlining its operations to focus on wealth management instead of traditional retail banking. Nearly 90% of Citibank customers in Singapore already use digital platforms for basic banking transactions, reducing the need for physical branches.

Not really i am from msia banks cannot lower cost on CASA ie current acc savings acc because the rates the banks paying already near zero usually when the loan interest is down the spread is narrowed what they can do is increasing CASA. Banks only lower rates on promotional FDs.

As a dividend investor - in SG stocks ONLY - I have to agree fully with AK re his take on banks v reits. Banks are my favourites too, along with SGX.
Yes, Singapore is great for dividends!
Great interview! I've always liked AK for his generous sharing of tips & inspiring people. (Pls have more frequent interviews with him. Thanx!) 🙂
Thank you! We will! 😊

I agree with you
Don’t have to agree or disagree with AK of fifth person. We just have to do our own homework and come to your own conclusion

Absolutely!
Waiting for this since he talked about it when he talks to himself few weeks ago!!!
AK is good. He highlighted banks’ profit over price ratio is so much better than REITS.

How to you calculate a bank stocks book value?
Book Value = Total Assets - Total Liabilities. You then divide Book Value by the by the Number of Outstanding Shares to derive Book Value per Share. Hope this helps!
Singapore Saving Bond is open for non-Singaporean.

AK doesn't follow Buffett; he sticks to his own investment plan based on personal goals and risk tolerances, as everyone should for themselves.
It is so happened to be same.
