My 2015 Crosstrek At Oil Temp gauge just came on. I'm scared to drive it to the mechanic and make things worse. Also I'm very worried its the CVT going out. Any advice?
could mean a lot of things but it is mostly related to the transmission. Check you transmission fluid and topup if it's low, check radiator for leaks and if there are signs of oil and water mixing in the radiator. Have it towed to your trusted mechanic to avoid damages to the transmission. If there are oils leaking in the the radiator it's possible that the O-rings in the transmission needs replacement. Best to have it checked to be sure

it means something really bad is happening to your transmission. Time to call the mechanic and have it towed.

My local mechanic is saying the Trans Valve body needs replaced for $2,200. Any experience with these? @@insidemoto
