This song was my first ADTR song; I was 13, listening to my first "rock bands" (aka Tokio hotel, three days grace, linkin park), and I was, together with a friend, an alien in that school, but still was friends with almost everyone. I was the emo one with eyeliner, and she was tomboy style; we used to listen to almost the same bands, even though we weren't so close. There was also our PE teacher, the coolest I've ever met. He turned to me one day "so you're the one with great music taste? Turn on your cellphone, I'll show you some stuff". He showed me this song, who led me to other songs. And those songs gave me strength when my mom died of cancer the next year.
My aunt now, with a few of my new friends, complain about how sad, depressive and bad these songs sound.
What's the matter if now i don't care about the top 10 of the radio? If I'd rather have band merch than dresses? If I like black better than other colors? If I spend my time with my cellphone, on the Internet, obsessing about bands and fictional characters, talking to nice people around the world, with my headphones on?
Funny how people don't care about your opinion, once they have their own, but you're supposed to respect their's.
Linkin park isn't a rock band or three days Grace. (Just saying) but whatever you think is right it's right.

alceushunterx LP was one of the first bands (if not the first) to adopt the and be classified as NU-Metal, however nu-metal in and of itself is just a small sub genre of rock (despite being called nu-METAL). Linkin Park is at it's core rock band. :)

I went to the Degenerates Tour last year on November 21st when it came to the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Ga. It was the longest concert I've been to by far. ADTR was the main act and they had Can't Swim, Beartooth &I Prevail (in that order) open. They finished with this song and I left about halfway through to beat traffic. It was worth just heading half of it live. It was my first time seeing every band and it definitely won't be the last!! One of the single greatest nights of my life!!!

As of 2021 hoping you all are still listening. One of my favorite songs of all times. Went through a really long and hard depression stage after my ex had left me and I didn't know really what to do. The only people around were my 4 really close friends and this song came out just a few weeks after the fact.
