Only Scottie Pippen could catch the ball above the 3 point line and somehow make a layup without taking a dribble lol. It's amazing how much space he covers with those long strides.
Yeah, he could really fly when he was younger--playing for the Cavs and a few other teams. He had some pretty serious knee issues, so by the time he got to the Bulls a lot of his athleticism was gone. Fortunately he was smart and tenacious, making him a perfect fit on that Bulls team. Best perimeter defensive team ever--with ease.
I also believe that Harper revitalized his career after Jordan came back because of the conditioning they did during the off season. Harper accepted that he wasn't going to score 20+ again so he conditioned his body and became a defensive specialist.
The Bulls in the late 90s were not a super team. They had two all stars and that was it. The rest were role players who knew how to play their role. The Warriors of today are definitely a super team, they have 4-5 all stars on their team with no true role players.

We were there! Thanks for this post!
I would've loved Jack Haley's ''job''. Be sitting on the
buls bench in streets clothes, cheer for them and get paid:)
Jordan perfected the art of reverse layup, along with many other things
Damn, Mike was a BEAST along that baseline!! 4:08
I remember seeing the MJ layup @ 5:37 from the Bulls' 4th championship video :-)
he was a participant of dunk contest in 1987 and 1989.
