I was just there. Great service. The tall guy knew the entire stock and found what I was looking for in the store room. The fit is true to size. Don’t size down.
Huge fan of meermin. Got some oxfords from them and they are lovely. Gotta shout out elegant oxford for the recommendation. And thank you meermin, they really helped when I took them for my first set of interviews. Will definitely recommend to friends and family if they start looking at some upper end shoes and boots for amazing prices. Thanks nick for the great content.
Have been wearing my Meermin Waxy Commander Wholecut Chelseas today. I have had them a few years now and hav rewaxed them once. They have worn in beautifully. If you live in the EU, Meermin are a very good substitute for the likes of Thursday Boots when one looks at the cost of shipping and taxes. I am a big fan.
I have their chelsea boots from way back which I still love wearing. Now I want another one after watching your video! Wow, those boots are beautiful 😍
I just bought a pair of boots. Autumn Spice Waxy Kudu E in 10.5 UK (11.5 US). I usually wear 11.5 US in regular shoes and sneakers, but I also own a pair of Blundstones in 10 UK (11 US). The Meermin feel a little big. How can I know if they are the right size for me? Any recommendation? Should I go for a 10 UK (11 US) pair? Any tips to check if my boots are big would be highly appreciated.
I buy boots with "exotic" leathers from them. One pair of Kudus and two Shell Cordovans. They are worth more than you pay for them. Not Grant Stone, but damned good.
Just received a pair of waxy guacho kudu chelseas. Great so far and i already prefer them to the shell cordovan service boots i have from them. Im new to quality boots but the kudu chelseas leather has more character out of the box whilst also being much thicker. They are also much more comfortable. Im not concerned if there is some foam in there compared to my service boots.
I just bought the rust waxy commander chelseas shown in this video two days ago while visiting Madrid. Amazingly comfortable, I was at the airport all day yesterday and they required no break in. Very good service in store as well. Going true to size in these is my recommendation!
@@StridewiseHi, I’m usually a generic size large. I think that you’re taller than me? I’m 5’10” about 190 pounds. Do you think that this jacket would fit me? What’s your asking price?
I have a pair of boots with the flex system. All I can say is that these boots are very solid and robust for the price. Also, there oxfords are fantastic
My only issue with Meermin is comfort. It's hit or miss. With the same last it varies from one shoe to another, and some are VERY stiff and uncomfortable. Break-in takes forever.
Bought a pair of Meermin boots a couple of years ago on holiday in Spain, after a few wears stitching started coming undone, they wanted me to return to factory at my cost, even though I'm in England, to inspect. Never buying them again, I'll stick with Crockett and Jones and Trickers

I first heard of Meermin from Elegant Oxford also 😄

Does Meermin make their boots in E or EE width's...? The Rusty Wax Commander looks like a very nice boot..

Another awesome video. Stridewise, you did it again.
Another great video Nick!
Hi Nick, great video & great company!
I’m thinking about their commander model to use out bush walking hunting etc instead of getting say blundstones. What would be your thoughts?
Great looking boots. I live in nyc-definitely gonna pay them a visit. Their boots look like what Thursday’s try to be but fail badly.
I'm just glad you're paying them a visit, Meermin are cool
Got 2 Meermin pairs. Love them!❤
Meermin are an interesting brand. Cost is kinda similar to Thursday, so I’d love to know your thoughts on how they compare.

I see that limited edition Filson Mackinaw Cruiser

Hi Nick, what’s that amazing jacket that you’re wearing?
oh it's my filson mackinaw! i'm selling it if you're a large (filson medium)

@@StridewiseHi Nick, have you seen my questions regarding the jacket? Much appreciated!
They are the only brand that you can get a Shell Cordovan shoes for under 400 dollars, what a steal!
I know it's pretty bonkers. I think they keep the tannery secret
Looove that place... geeez
I just wished that Meermin had wide sizes

Still seeing a lot of guys wearing loafers to the office. Must be a good business.
Kudu. You need at least one pair of kudu.
I have read many bad reviews about Meermin customer support. That's why I never bought any shoes from them.
The customer service is appalling
Replaced the cork and midsole with FOAM. Cost cutting and lowering the quality. Give me a leather midsole and cork again and i will buy your boots.
Yes
Midsole is leather and cork vs foam is not a cost saver, just design choice. Either would get replaced during resole anyway
Pimping for the PRC... again.
