Driving with Hand Controls

- I started driving again three years after my spinal cord injury. As a quadriplegic, I opted to drive from my wheelchair because transferring was too difficult. I have Zero Effort steering and EMC AEVIT hand controls with a Braun modification. They aren't cheap, but thankfully Vocational Rehabilitation pays for the modifications. The freedom driving gives me is priceless. Hand controls vary greatly: For paraplegics and some quads, hand controls are much simpler and less expensive. However, some hand controls are even more complicated than mine.
