What I really want to see is the aftermath of resin printing: what to do with soiled alcohol, how to properly dispose of resin laced cleaning paper, etc. Great video!
I've always wanted to do resin printing but I figure once I have a really good grasp on FDM printing then I will take on resin. Great video Richard, very informative.
Good summary, Also important to note that the isopropyl, or whatever one uses to rinse their resin parts, is hazardous waste and cannot/should not be put down the drain or thrown in landfill; check your local hazmat recycling centers. In some areas properly disposing of uncured resin waste is nearly impossible. Most of my 3d printed parts are functional and don't require the level of resolution that resin printers offer. Plus I just built a voron, and the parts coming off that baby are damn near flawless. Zero personal interest in dealing with post-processing for a minor bump in surface quality.
Richard, this was really interesting!! Two things I would like for you to consider would be (1) other than miniatures, what type of projects would SLA be used for, and (2) what would be the proper way to dispose of used cleaning and failed print materials?
Good stuff .... eventually plan to get into resin printing scale model parts, but first getting feet wet with my Ender3 FDM. Thanks for all the great videos.
Great video Richard. I have been from printing for several years now, but would like the detail of resin models. The post processing looks to be a big task. Also, finding somewhere that is heated and ventilated (no basements in the UK) might be problem. I will follow along with your series to get a idea of what is involved. David
Great video! Lots of good information in here, I started with theElegoo Mars, hi mainly print mini figurines for dungeons and dragons. Postproduction it’s a lot of work, but once you get your routine down, it becomes pretty easy and fast.
Is it jut me or does it seem like the variety of 3D printers on Amazon is not what it was a year ago? Would like to get into resin but with young kids around who seem to get into everything no matter how much you try and hide it I feel it is just a bit too risky with all the chemicals.
My man. I'm 5 minutes and 15 seconds into your video and you haven't told me the first bit of advice. I don't know if your advice is good or not as I just turned off your video and won't be watching your again. It's too late to get me back as a viewer (not trying to make it seem like 1 viewer is a big loss) but I'm sure I'm not the only one turned off by this. Many videos aren't even 5 minutes long let alone have more than 5 minutes of filler before you even get to the main topic.

I love the show and thank you for the quick run through of what is really needed for resin printing!!
Very good stuff. I'm passing this on to my son because he's my printer. Thanks!!
I'll have to share this with a friend that is interested in getting into resin printing.
The show is very good, and YES recently switched from FDM to SLA.

You convinced me that resin is too much trouble for me. I don't have small projects so I'll stick with my FDM. Thanks.
I have my first Resin printer arrive this week, always good to have helpful pointers to start in this area
I found this video helpful on the details of what a resin printer can and can't do nice job Richard
Very good video! You explained some things I had doubts and now I'm sure I want to buy a resin printer!
