You go into a forest and feel at home? wow, you have reached the maximum level of germanizing 🙂

I am a German living in South Florida and I miss everything you mentioned in your video. When I moved to South Florida I was shocked that there were not more restaurants with outside seating, or if they had it would be right next to an ugly parking lot. I do miss the quiet on a Sunday. Many Americans get annoyed by it because it's inconvenient. And there is nothing better than going for a walk in the forest taking in the fresh air and coming home to coffee and cake (Kaffee und Kuchen).

Great Video. Church bells and quiet Sundays. Love it!

2:36 I think the issue here is cars. Cars make a lot of noise and most US cities are car-dependent.

Hey Jay, I am too from Bavaria. I LOVE the church bells, they are soothing, calming and just home.

I live in Cyprus (EU) and we have hundreds of churches... I moved into a new home in January and entertained for the first time here 10 days ago. Sitting outside (yes!) we were suddenly aware of church bells everywhere! My daughter said it reminded her of Austria... So, yes - love the sound of those bells.
And the other points: agree 100%. 😊

The portion about the forest actually transported me back to the woods in Bayern/Zweisel..calm uninterrupted ..those areas are a wavelength unto themselves...a symphony with hardly any sound but the experience is much better than most opera - atleast for me. Solitude is really underrated.

#1 is a strange point: on one side so many ppl in the US pretend to be christian, but then they dont live the weekends like it is written down in the commandments: you shall keep the weekend holy. worst of all: they prevent other humans from having time off. I really cant understand that. #2 maybe you name it the right way: peacefulness. how can a country full of violence and oppression of the poor be peaceful. we do have that in germany as well, on the autobahns the drivers often use their virtual elbows, in that respect the netherlands and the scandinavian countries are more relaxed.

A good list of things you mentioned in more depth in other videos.
I guess for your kind of life, the best thing is to enjoy where you are and at the same time enjoy looking forward to the other half!
    So: enjoy!

First time I had been in Chicago on a business trip 10 years ago, I was surprised of the noise in traffic. Constant car horn noises and emergency services. Here in Munich you hear hardly anyone using his car horns. Maybe it has to do with road discipline and driving skills?

Ah, but after the weather if the last few months.... the effing reservoirs are FULL. Guess it has something to do with that too. If the weather is atrocious, it is all down to: You can't walk without a car.

Just a comment from a fellow Niederbayer: It sounds a bit strange when you show downtown Landshut while playing Strauß' Donauwalzer.
I think this would be more appropriate a couple of kilometer (miles) downstream the Isar. ;-)

@Manka I dont know if you are familiar with the local geography of Bavaria and Austria.
But this particular waltz is one of the most iconic pieces of music expressing the Zeitgeist of empirial austrian life style of vienna. And vienna is about 400 km downstream of Landshut a regional center in Bavaria. And the vibes of this small town feel completely different from the world class metropolis vienna.
Even the dialects of locals sound very different although foreigners may not hear the differences at all.

Interesting but music also provokes emotion and that emotion can be evoked by anyone or anything

Can I ask your ethnicity and race?
