Love the reaction of Steph almost hitting the game winner from full court folks knew he was dangerous
Until 2016 and kobe shut him down
You can tell no one knew how to guard a player like that. The game was about to change.
What exactly do you mean by “no one knew how to guard a player like that”
What is “like that?”
@@MikeLowry488 maybe he means a video game level accuracy from 3-from a pg- that moves well on or off ball
And yeah there’s two of em
Yup
@@Ggspoop 2 of em?
@@MikeLowry488 Do you get what he means now? HELLO?!? At least say sumn bruh. Watch you reply back now too. Oh wait now you won’t cause I said you will 🤦🏾♂️ you’re one of those. At least say sumn back to the guy
The time curry wasn’t triple teamed from 3
😂😂
Ikr
It doesn't matter how many ppl guard him
..
@@unkown312 but is harder now
You can see how much more deadly curry is now. Now he’s drawing doubles every single time and taking fewer mid range shots. And his defense is far better, more steals and not getting pushed around as much
I’d say he’s in his prime right now.
His handles are much more tight now, also he's so much better at finishinh at the rim
@@ronalddang he's currently at his best at 34 sheesh. Curry is insane
3:15 to 3:20...Steph play was so gracious it looks like he was dancing 😭😭😭 this man is at another level
kobe seemed to stop guarding him after that play, cause he knew he'd foul out
This game has got a spooky energy to it. Kobe was peaking for his age and went down with what was his career ending injury. Curry was peaking in his first ascendance at MVP level. And these two were duelling it out. Even the last shot was almost poetic. I can’t believe this game isn’t described or remembered as such. I just found it.
This game was a pass of the torch to me. Kobe is my favorite player of all time and it was during this game i was introduced to the player who would become my second favorite.
at this point curry could be better then kobe and
jordan if u hit 3 pointers like lay ups u mastered the game u no how hard kobe and jordan use to work to score 2 points lol i can't even believe am saying this lol ''''
@@criptocolorlightstech5292 Curry is universally acknowledge as the greatest shooter of all time. Thats is the only category in which he us better than either.
WHEN U IN A FIGHT AND U HAVE THE GUN AND THE OTHER GUY JUST HAS HIS HANDS THE WAR IS OVER DO U GET IT NOW THINK A LITTLE DEEPER ''''
@@joweydelanota7421 fr
@@criptocolorlightstech5292 i have absolutely no idea what you tried to accomplish there but please don't ever try that toilet paper logic again. A clear indication you are clueless about the game.
We didn't know it then, but this was a passing of the torch.
Kobe -> Steph
Speak for yourself lol I been knew Steph was legit since that 2012-2013 season 😂
2 nba greatest shooters in one game. we all missing kobe bryant
Nah we miss Kobe but he has most misses ever
@@keanutaiaroa5808 who has the most missed shots in the playoffs?
I think he meant Klay but Kobe is up there in terms of difficult shots
He clapping for Steph and the dubs from heaven tonight.
@@beefcheese3395 Kobe definitely in hell since he wasn’t sent to jail for r wording a white girl god burned him
You can't question the love of Kobe to the game. RIP Mamba. 🙏
the fact he almost made it from full court to win it is insane 😭
This was Insane! Man Kobe was so damn cold blooded warrior, I gave credit to kobe and the Lakers they managed to stay closed to the Warriors despite Steph playing like crazy. This was like passing the torch, as you can remember after Kobe torn his Achilles Curry's career went through the roof
Kobe did all he could and went out like a true soldier 😢
lakers still won the game without him though
Curry really almost hit a 70 footer dagger to send them home would’ve been crazy 😂😂😂
Kobe’s real last game.
That last shot tho...
that was C L O S E
Steph had the WHOLE Laker Stadium praying with their eyes shut!!
Kobe would never be the same after that injury
Funny how media spin a narrative about Steph but that dude has BEEN playing on an ANOTHER level for years. Wow!
Man dropped 42 as a rookie 😂 he’s always been a baller
@@firstnamelastname-ko3ge he was in his 4th season in this game but you right 😂
@@thealisterr he still dropped 42 as a rookie
This is the legendary game between 2 superstars. Curry almost shoots game winner but this is very important win for Lakers to seeds top 8 in the playoffs. Kobe will not play cause of that injury and they are defeated. Lakers last playoffs during kobe era.
Beautiful moves from Kobe & Steph!!!
Oooh!! The Lakers got so lucky, that half court shot from Curry did not go in at the last second.
That was way longer than half court lol
That is almost whole court or you could say whole court lol
What a lame shot. I could easily hit that (after a million tries).
tbf even prime curry can't make clutch shots against the lakers now, so they weren't lucky, this was the inevitable of what would happen if they met in the playoffs, curry dominates the whole game, but when it comes down to winning his team the game, he chokes
That’s why Kobe respects Curry…he’s a silent assassin🏆
This game was so great that until the last millisecond Dwight felt the thrill
After his Achilles injury Kobe never played the same
He was too old when it happened. (34)
Until his last game at least. 😐
Curry is an unfair advantage. He is able to score at any distance.
Miss Kobe 😍
Kobe showing us why he's goat
not the goat but the best ever
@@pierluigifontana452 barley top 10 :/
@@pierluigifontana452 but you're right
Curry vs lakers and the refs lol
dude you can hear the swish which makes it so satisfying
All those points curry shot was all for nothing. 40+ points and lose by 2 that’s sad but the lakers did a good job so I’m not gonna hate. Job well done from the lakers. We all miss Kobe. It feels like he’s still alive but in reality he’s not.
Look at Kobe face when Curry makes this 3 he’s like who the fuk is this Kid 😂 3:09
Nah hes like wheres my defense!?
no, its cause steve blake left him wide open
Only person…and I mean the ONLY person that could stop Kobe was Father Time.
How Steve Blake wasnt taken off of Steph I'll never know. He was getting cooked in every highlight lol
I remember this game wow Kobe and Curry wow and I look back now I'm like shaking my head 🥰🥰🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
Curry knew Kobe was hurt and waiting on the foul to help was a nice gesture
We miss you Kobe!
I wish Kobe woulda stayed alive n in the NBA against Curry Curry woulda forced Kobe to become Super Saiyin 4 to compete basketball woulda been even more entertaining
Curry’s game is just so beautiful he truly took the game to another level surpassing Kobe and Jordan in my opinion
No
@@Slatt_01 ratio
@@forecest5124 if you watch basketball and say curry is better than Kobe or Jordan you are 🧢. Curry’s 1on1 game is not better than theirs and that’s facts.
@@Slatt_01 boy ur so stupid. Man said it's his opinion. You just can't respect someone's opinion bruh🥴 poor u
its his free will to make a comment like this and I partially agree but each player you mentioning has their own way of changing game style in NBA. MJ has biggest impact but Curry also deserves right to be compared with those legends and curry as well is a legend player already.
This is the game that the torch went on from one greatness to another
This is last Kobe Bryant prime game his prime started in 2000 and ended in 2013 that's crazy longetivity.
people talk about lebron's for a reason, 2007 to 2022. Two of the greatest ever.
Kobe didn't have to do Klay like that 😂 I forgot about this game..RIP mamba. Steph did take them ankles tho 😳
yea he definitely didn’t have to give klay the chicken wing , glad i’m not the only one saw that
The sacrifice Kobe put in this game atleast fueled Lakers to win. I’d be so bad if they lost this game to rookie Curry
He was not a rookie
so this is where kobe got his achiles injury… This is like the passing of the torch. RIP mamba.
rip Kobe. no one can replace your greatness.
💯
Kobe pass the torch to Steph
Damn Kobe was a different breed there will never be another RIP Legend 🐐
The time when steph curry put the League in notice
imagine if that went in
Imagine Steph made that last 3. Would have given him 50 Points, 10 Threes, and a 1-point win. Would’ve been one of the greatest game winners of all time.
KOBE had the greatest moves ever period, not just an outside shooter.
Most skilled player ever
3:14 tremenda defensa de kobe realmente solo encesto un solo triple en contra de el wow
??
guys this wasnt his last prime game, he gave steph 44 two years after in 2014-15
he didn’t even play in 2014 wtf are you talking about 💀
Kobe played 6 games in 2014
@@ry_an. you mean in 2013-14 he played 6 games. that was actually my fault with how i worded the original comment, and then i was wrong to say the next year, it was actually 2 years later. in 2012-13 he played 78 games and in 2014-15 he played 35 games, then ended his career with 66 games in 2015-16. remember the season always starts in fall and ends in summer of the next year
steph was guarding him ? that’s shocking
Dude he “dropped” 44 on Steph but it was mostly in garbage time and that game was a blowout by halftime 😂 Kobe was just trying to get his stats. Post achilles Kobe was very overrated.
Curry in this time was serious because he knew
6:23 ft's lmao💀
He was never the same.
That injuries fucked him over
After the game Indians named their favorite food to pay respect to a great star
So inspirational
Curry basketball skills reminds me of a younger version of Reggie Miller
Notice they slowly start doubling and tripling
2 legends and Hall of famers hahaha. #kobebryant824, #stephencurry30. 🤑💦🌊💧⛹️♂️🏀👌🔥👍💪👏👟⭐💯❤️🐐🐍👨🍳⛳🏌️♂️
Steve Blake got abused
My 2 favorites EVERRR
If Steph gonna retire I don't know who's next
I am sick of comments like this, if you guys don't believe in another player guy thriving to the top after guys like them are gone or retired, stop complaining and don't watch the game, or learn to accept, I saw the game change to something I didn't like when Adam Silver became commissioner and golden state tookover, I didn't sit here and complain over and over, I accepted it and credited and respected them every chance I got, you think its fun watching my celtics team have stagnant offense, and fish for 3's and bricking every time? no, but I still support them
Game was changing coutesy of Steph.
Man, I miss Kobe. R.I.P Mamba
same steph but different style for sure very little off the ball movement
Curry was so quick back then.
He was tiny bro, he’s a whole ass man now 😂
Kobe and Steph two of my top five of all time
LONG LIVE KOBE BRYANT 💔🙏
Kobe was great but Steph is the new thing.
GOLDEN CHILD CURRY is a great shooter 👌 🙌. Can't catch him.
Stephen Curry is so cold he makes The Continent of Antarctica feel🔥!!!
Nike Steph was different
1 OF THE SINGLE MOST BEST GAMES OF THE NBA
C'était un matche incroyable
Hey many free throws did the Lakers milked from the ref f*cling joke
Dude your vids are on point what a fucking game!!!
That dog on Mamba Mentality!!
if currys last shot in this would be one of the greatest match of all time
Curry and Klay both with short hair; they look like kids!!
Ilove Mamba
Where my boy got hurt 😞
9:17 that almost went in 👀
For Kobe to be 11x all defensive I would’ve liked for him to check Curry more in this game. This the game I knew Steph was more than a college superstar.
Notice how they were doubling Curry off the pick n roll with Festus. Once Coach Kerr replaced Festus with Draymond in that spot, a dynasty was born.
not really, it was Adam Silver that enabled warriors to be born, Kerr saw his opportunity when Stern stepped down
Kobe the warrior
I'm a huge Kobe fan but after seeing this highlight in detail, you can tell Steph's skills are on a whole new level compared to Kobe
Stephen curry’s has serious skill but saying that his skill is better than Kobe’s is outrageous😂😂😂
@@fatrat6988 I feel like many people are turning over to this narrative that curry is more skilled and better than kobe, and its scaring me
3:13 I came here to watch this one play by Curry
Is this the game Kobe got hurt?
Yes
Imagine if that last shot goes in
Miss you Black Mamba
Looks so young lol
Yes when the warriors lost to a bum a** Lakers team.😂😂
2013 warriors is bad too lol..2014 and 2015 is diff.
This was like 2013. Warriors weren’t crazy yet
2013 warriors? Lmaoo
He maid kobe look dumb
Kobebryant me idol me legends Kobe Bryant mamba black 💜💛🐍
A turn of the tide for how basketball would be played.
Wait this is the legendary game when KOBE torn his achilles?. How this is dope.
I was literally looking for a comment like this. This game is gold for so many reasons.
I do 47 pts and lose
You acting like they lost by a lot the game was close.
And 4 championship rings
Sad to see the many mistakes D’Antoni is making coaching the Lakers on defense & with Kobe. Jimmy Buss should never have picked D’Antoni over Phil Jackson.
Even D’Antoni eventually admitted on the JJ Redick podcast that he never should have coached the Lakers.
Damn I wish steph curry was still this good
Don't push it
@@malcolmemery5116 never mind he’s still good maybe better. He’s just guarded by 3 guys at once now a days lol
I started watching NBA because of Curry, my second favorite player of all time. If Kobe wasn't injured Kobe would've ended that game with a win. Oh and yes, my favorite player of all time is Kobe. Mamba forever. Curry forever.
I watched that game Kobe was on his way to other ring that yr what stoped him was the injury to catching up to Michael Jordan
