I agree! Very smart kid. Great job on the build. Makes it easier for me personally learning from someone younger. Makes me feel like it won’t take a lifetime to learn everything I need to know 😮💨😂
Literally clicked on this thinking it was just a part-spec on a CL1. Damn was I wrong!! EXCELLENT work Bubby. This frame looks sick and this build video shows how much thought you put into it. So sick, dude.
Love the prop tool arms and cutout for the XT60 pigtail. If I wasn’t I the middle of a couple of skyeliner builds, I’d pick up a couple of these as I think it’s a litter better suited to an analog build
this is really similar to my build, well, your camera mount is way better than mine :) Long stack screws, yes, way better than nylon standoffs. And that motor wire protector is awesome. I might buy some of those for my next build. If you ever switch to 6S, The best esc I have found is the Hobbywing XRotor Micro 60A 6S 4in1 esc. There is a flight controller that goes with it just like your combo. I have been using two of those ESCs for a couple years now. I have fried several other escs, but these xrotor ones are crazy reliable.
Nice as always ... Build tip for those that are going to be running it on analog ( me 🙄) when mounting the fpv camera ( I use the ratel) . I needed to use small washer to seat the camera in place or you'll have tons of play and wobble in your feed or when you crash the camera tilt may shift ..
so far, i only have a couple of flights with this frame...and it's amazing! a few caveats... i am flying with a gopro session so i had to print my own mount for that. works great so far but i am seeing a lot of jello in the video...not sure if that's the mount or something else. the only thing i noticed was that the motor mounting screws were a little short IF you use the supplied Rotor Riot skids (which i love, btw...glad they are included!). i'm gonna try again but with blue loc-tite on the motor mount screws and see if that helps...you know, frame resonance and all...lol. either that or i'm gonna have to modify my gopro mount. yeah, some of us still fly with a session...(hint...hint!!). all in all, a VERY solid frame and i can see getting more of these in my future. thanks Bubby and keep rippin'!!!
Hey man! So the jello issue is definitely not a frame/mount issue. I’ve been running no Hypersmooth recently and there’s nothing, granted my kwad is tuned very well. And I will see to change the motor screw length that comes with the kit. Thanks for supporting it!
@@BubbyFPV absolutely bro! you've designed a very well built frame and i look forward to flying it more! i really think it's just my gopro mount but i have to make sure all my bases are covered. my mount is for a session 5 and not a 6/7/8/9/10 so that might have something to do with it. i'm going to print other mounts with varying infill and see if that helps. either way, well done!
Looks totally legit Bubs. Well thought out. Old school mixed with new. Cheers to full air unit and GoPro standoff mounting. Keep an extra arm in your bag doubles as a prop tool!
Hahaha and boom! The carbon arm prop tool that the NBD Vivid introduced was made main stream with the QAV-S JB edition and now the Moxy! Awesome to see.
Bubby is a very smart kid. You can tell just by how he explains the assembly of his beautiful frame! Rotor Riot you found a WINNER! Thanks Bubby. Happy New Year!
Hey Dude, Met you at the water parker in San Bernardino couple of months ago. Saw one of your wings for the quad. Was wonder if you can give me the file to print my own or can I buy on off of you.
Now all we need is bubby’s spicy beans batteries. Hopefully in a 6s variety as well. 1500mah 4s 150c and 1300mah 6s 150c and both be sub 200 grams 😁😁 come on bubby you know it’s a great idea!! 😂😂
@@KnetiKFPV yes I know that. I was referring to when he made drew the quad with the spoiler and stuck a can of beans on it. I told him he needed to develop his own battery called bubbys beans
I had crashed mine the other day and now the F722 FC won’t beep twice anymore. Only if hooked up to the computer using the type c connector. Does that mean the 5v reg is bad and need to just swap out the FC?
hmmm... one question.. you have the battery leads coming out of a little "cutout" a tthe side of the frame.... battery leads.... conductive carbon with sharp corners? i would have at least chamfered the edge
Could sand down the edge and chamfered yourself or use the outer shield from battery wire cut a slot and hot glue it around the carbon or even cover the stand off too
@@WX4CB yeah would have been done but to keep cost down most companies don't do it .. I personally make a effort to chamfered frames I get even had some that had jagged edges from factory that where chamfered no biggie 10min job done deal
Try the Tiger Motor F55a 4-1 ESC that ESC is a beast I run them with F80Pros2200kv on 6s. I have only ever popped 2 of them over the course of using them on all my builds for 10 months. One of the best ESC’s. It’s like 100$ though lol
If you head over right now you will find out there is no drones no kits no get out of jail free card what should I choose that is available on the store right now to get flying again it looks like I'm going to be buying the parts separately I was hoping the Cl1 kit would be back in stock but it's been like a month now
Thanks for making this video, the whole DIY with the tech is great, but the main thing for me was the fact that when you plugged in the battery, and the 3 beeps came in , and you explained why, Because I just built one and it, after gave me all the beeps, until I updated it in beta flight, without a radio. NO body and I mean NO body talks or tells you about it, and you think you got a messed up ESC and your checking all your sober points over and over again...smh..So thank you.
Yup, another carbon fiber frame to choose from, at least it’ll give you access to funds to help you get into the commercial business that they are grooming you for.
Bubby, why did you add a spoiler on this? is there an actual reason? Or did you just think it made it look cool? I would like to buy your drone, but that spoiler is really off putting
