Based on your review, I just ordered the latest version of this tripod that includes an integrated phone mount. FYI, carbon fiber version at B&H for $110. Enough discount to add a Manfrotto hybrid fluid head. I can’t wait to try the pairing.
Great video except so many reviewers on Amazon say the tripod is not that stable especially in the wind and has to be held down by a heavy bag. Also it is so light in water it can flip over and fully extended its next to useless with a heavy camera and lens on it.
Thanks for the feedback! I haven't had those issues as of yet. I've had it in waist deep water in a fairly swift river and felt it handled well. I'd be happy to make a second review were a thoroughly test it in these situations.
Thanks for the awesome review! I was wondering: is the ballhead sturdy enough to use a small slider in it? (zeapon micro) I understand it can take a heavy payload, but do you think it would work?
The Benro Roadtrip is a great tripod, but don't expect much customer support! The head assembly is not user-serviceable at all. Mine had play in the panning action even when locked, which worsened to some pitching over a few uses. Benro USA never responded. Benro China said must be a screw loose, return to Amazon! Buying another brand, even though it's a nice tripod BUYER BEWARE!
You need to get hiking gaiters to keep the snow off your pants. This tripod is unfortunately another Chinese copy of the Gitzo carbon fiber tripods. I can see why companies are growing increasingly frustrated with Chinese illegal knock offs.
This tripod is simply a must for backpacking photography. I have one carbon fiber version and it's simply amazing .

Helpful review! Thanks for the insights! (I could have done with a little less background music in the actual video though)
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the tip!
Nice review! Do you think this would work with a fluid head like the S6?
Agree 100% I own the carbon fiber version and it is amazing product ! Love it

Glad you enjoyed it! I've never tried it but I would bet it would work well as long as the neck of the tripod wasn't extended.
@@nigelmay6349 Makes sense, thank you!
Can a sandbag be connected to the base of the tripod?

Great concise review. You're a good host.
Thanks Zach!! Glad to have you here!
Why add irritating background music to this wonderful serene waterfall natural sound?
Because I'm irritating I guess. 😇
what do you prefer aluminum or carbon
Aluminum for the price. But carbon is lighter and in winter conditions isn't cold to the touch.
@@nigelmay6349 thanks for the idea!
I would choose aluminum because of the weight, the carbon fiber is nice but it can be top heavy when camera is attached.
I thought cats have 4 legs 🤣
I'm glad someone thought that was funny! Haha!

Are they illegal?...
