@Figureeight This guide isn't valid anymore because Rockstar just released an update on the 10th that made Script Hook V reject the game. Now it just crashes every time you boot it. There's no update for Script Hook so you're just fucked currently.

This is the single greatest video I've ever watched on doing anything ever. The tutorial is so easy to follow so clean and unrushed. It's so simple yet so in-depth and complex. I just finished downloading a ton of mods to my PC and I don't think I've ever had more fun playing a game before.
Zerdical most of the read me’s don’t mention you also have to install a modified game config file to have multiple mods but apart from that once you have done it a few times it’s pretty easy
Here is a solution I found to the f8 problem: 1. I forgot to move the scripthook files into the gta 5 folder 2. Once I moved the scriptkook files to the gta 5 folder, it worked for me. 3. Also change the keybind for f8 to some other key in the settings since the f8 key is automatically the key that opens gta online. I changed the gta online key to f12 from f8.
@Hariz boy yeah, definitely. Except for the Ferrari mod(14:03 this part). But don’t worry with that, I guess it is just the mod problem, his method is still work with the other add-on mods.
Also, Just in case you have done it before. Delete everything you have downloaded that are related to mod stuff or whatever, make sure your original GTA file is clean. Then you can start following his methods step-by-step and it should work.
Rockstar Developers have said that you WILL NOT be banned from online play for using SINGLE PLAYER MODS!! Skin mods and car colour mods are fine, Any mods that enhance the players abilities and give an unfair advantage over the whole sessions players then you will be kicked and banned
@@KCTX87 well with my experience no it hasn't I use skin mods and car colour mods all the time and rockstar knows that I do I've been reported for it heaps but because it gives me no unfair advantage over any sessions I dont get banned
@@Geeked_Mike I am not to sure about that, I would say that its ok because there is no unfair advantage over the session, its not giving u GTA money, or JP or RP, its not allowing you to have any unfair advantage like what a God Mode Mod would do, so with my own experience I would say that its fine, but I am not 100% sure as I have only used skin mods to alter the appearance of the player, and car colour mods to make my cars look awesome with colour combinations not found in the game

Everytime I load up my single player it goes through the long loading screen and when it is time to load the game it just closes application and takes me back to desktop

Probably worth noting that when GTA 5 gets updated, you have to wait for Script Hook V to be updated as until then you can't run .asi mods. This is why my Online update videos are always delayed.

If you have a mods installed it will just will block you from using the online mode until the mods are uninstalled, that's why it's best to have 2 installations of GTA 5, one for SP modding and one for Online mode, if you play a lot of both.

@@whydoiexist-rs9wv i dont have norton but you should be able to acces the website by clicking some “don’t block” button (probably ont the software. This isn’t my problem tho, my problem is I don’t share the same protocol version or something. But just try to find some button you can click that stop blocking suspicious websites (I’m pretty sure the website is clean, it just say it) then it should probably work.
Playing with mods is great ... until Rockstar decides to patch the game with silly non-singleplayer related bullshit, and you gotta wait for a week or two for scripthook to follow suit. Seriously Rockstar, just stop.

Hey man, another thing you might want to check is whether you F Keys have legacy commands, such as increasing brightness and shit like that. If so, you need to press the FN key and the F8 key at the same time in order to pull up the mod menu

Nopee.. If addon cars.. It only appears for us.. But if we replace it.. We replaced the actual car in the game.. So yes the replacement car will appears in the game.. On the road, parking lot, highways and much more

What I really wanted was Aussie cop cars and to be a cop, turns out you don’t have to complete story before you do it. I have to say, to get stuff to work and set the mods up took a while, still working on getting Aussie cop cars and a number of other mods to help with the police job.
My game still crashes after doing what you said to do if your game crashes, however as soon as I take the modded vehicle folder out the game boots right up

In my experience, anything you mod to better your game (without paying rockstar or grinding relentlessly) will get you banned.

Try "Fn" at beside the window's key + f8 and it should work So its Fn + f8 at the same time

i cant click install on openiv, it says something about i dont have the share the same ssl-protocol version
same i cant do that. it takes me to a redirect and norton360 blocks it. did you ever find the solution?
@@whydoiexist-rs9wv i dont have norton but you should be able to acces the website by clicking some “don’t block” button (probably ont the software.
This isn’t my problem tho, my problem is I don’t share the same protocol version or something.
But just try to find some button you can click that stop blocking suspicious websites (I’m pretty sure the website is clean, it just say it) then it should probably work.

Playing with mods is great ... until Rockstar decides to patch the game with silly non-singleplayer related bullshit, and you gotta wait for a week or two for scripthook to follow suit. Seriously Rockstar, just stop.

This is a bit late but mine absolutely refuses to work. I followed all the instructions to a T but when I go in game and press F8 nothing happens
I really wish more modders would use the .oiv format. It makes the install easier than putting Broiler Bites in the oven.

i did everything in order and it was perfectly ok, but when i installed the vanillaworks extended, it crash and i've installed heap limit and packfile limit adjuster, is there any other thing to install to stop crashing?

Hey man, another thing you might want to check is whether you F Keys have legacy commands, such as increasing brightness and shit like that. If so, you need to press the FN key and the F8 key at the same time in order to pull up the mod menu
and if that is your problem, id suggest turning fn lock on

Go to this pc then oc then program files if you have two search both for steam then in steam go to steamapps then common then grandtheftauto

I followed everything, step by step. And at this point, 6:30 When I pressed 'f8' nothing happend whats so ever. I tried it with Fn as well. (I use Rockstar launcher for my GTA5, I know mods are there as I can't play online mode, I haven't downloaded any other mods/addons before this video, I have a gaming PC)

Nopee.. If addon cars.. It only appears for us.. But if we replace it.. We replaced the actual car in the game.. So yes the replacement car will appears in the game.. On the road, parking lot, highways and much more

Just wondering if I could get some help, I did all the stuff for the ASI files, downloaded a mod and did the rest but when I try to launch gta, I get into the second rockstar games launcher loading screen then my gta just stops running, it goes back to my steam and stops the game, any ideas on how to fix? Other than that, fantastic tutorial!

Sucks how I just want modded cars and I haven't completed story mode.

What I really wanted was Aussie cop cars and to be a cop, turns out you don’t have to complete story before you do it. I have to say, to get stuff to work and set the mods up took a while, still working on getting Aussie cop cars and a number of other mods to help with the police job.
its pc, just download a 100% save and stick in your documents/rockstar games/gtav/profiles folder...

My game still crashes after doing what you said to do if your game crashes, however as soon as I take the modded vehicle folder out the game boots right up
