Why does Hayden hate the panthers, Josh?
Hayden made no sense on the Panthers grade.
PANTHERS WERE ABLE TO RECOUP A 2nd RD PICK NEXT YEAR, BUT STILL KEEPING A PICK IN EACH ROUND THIS YEAR…. IJS!! 🤷🏿♂️
Yes panthers are so great, thank you so much (bears fan)
Panthers took Midget Boy over C.J. Stroud 😂😂😂
@tthompson7609 - I am not a Carolina Panthers fan but think they did great in the draft AND FREE AGENCY. First things first, the Panthers spent a lot of money improving the defense and offensive line, in the off-season. Completely revamped defense. The defense could definitely improve to top 15 in the NFL in points allowed. The 2018 Bears were really good ONLY because their defense was incredible. They easily led the league in takeaways and provided so much opportunity for the offense. Your GM is making a wise decision to solidify the defense while continuing to improve the offense, across the board. Xavier Legette matched with Thielen and Diontae Johnson should be a productive group of receivers. Jonathan Brooks, if healthy, is a very important pick. Chuba Hubbard is a solid backup and Miles Sanders was a wasted signing. It was a lack of respect to D'Onta Foreman to not give him at least one more season after he almost carried the Panthers with no QB in the playoffs in 2022. He was amazing after the McCaffrey trade. The Panthers will almost assuredly release Sanders after the 2024 season. The TE from Texas is a clear upgrade from the TE's the Panthers have had over the last 4 seasons. I am not a Carolina fan but it even was frustrating for me that the Panthers never upgraded their TE's over the last 4 seasons. Why not? LB Trevin Wallace is a speedy player. If Bryce Young doesn't significantly improve, maybe giving Jack Plummer an opportunity is a worthwhile idea.
I couldn't disagree more on the Panthers draft. They managed to grab the number one rated RB in the second and the second rated TE in the fourth. They got a lot of value on those picks to me. If KC grabbed Brooks he'd be considered a steal.
The guy in the hat is an asshole. The other one was cool but I expected for them to say some dumb 💩.
i would rather get benson but brooks is pretty good as well. and sanders is a legit steal. they went into the draft trying to set up bryce for success and they did just that, excellent
They also recovered a second rounder for next year, the one the old regime lost due to the bears trade. Not bad
cris Collinsworh “AD Mitchell has everything that Marvin Harrison has and more, and he’s a better route runner. He is clever in how he changes speeds in his routes. He possesses an absurd amount of talent. Might have more upside than any prospect he’s ever seen”
It was decent. They can't be said to have Truly Whiffed on any prospect by leaving someone clearly better at the same position on the board.
But I was stunned at how most of their picks were for defense. They have the wizard Ejiro Evero who can make a lot out of very little. The Broncos went from 1st (before they erupted late in '22) to worst just due to him leaving.
They didn't maintain their focus on where it needed to be. Same with the Steelers. That o-line got _that QB room_ to the playoffs. So it obviously wasn't crap. But they traded away one of only two WRs of note in the off-season.
What use having a better o-line when there's no one to pass to? Plus in that situation, having open receivers reduces that pressure on the o-line.
They left So Many good prospects on the board that would have helped the o-line & increased their scoring chances & instead they went for getting .4 more yards per rush which won't change a thing for them. So while none of their picks are _bad_ (both teams here) one could argue they both had higher priority needs at other positions.
Leegette and Brooks has the potential to be a home run
IF they all develop you could have your QB1, WR1 and RB1 and LT all within 3 years. That's a decent core.
You forgetting sanders to dude lol he going real good for us as well
I agree we’re turning things around in Carolina keep pounding..
Not a pathers fan but they def had a nice draft
First time listening, the amount of work you put into knowing each team to put together content like this is great keep it up
Underdog NFL Draft, Your videos always make me happy, so I subscribed!
Eagles absolutely crushed it. Howie continues to be a genius
Legette and Brooks aren’t reached when they would’ve been gone within the next 10 picks if the panthers didn’t draft them(funny how you didn’t list Pearsall as a reach for the 49ers even though he was supposed to go after Legette). Also, even if the panthers aren’t a RB away doesn’t mean that it is bad to draft one in the second round. A good running game will be of immense benefit to Bryce Young. The panthers won’t have to pass as much and they will have less 2nd+3rd down and longs which will make things easier for Bryce. Regarding the Sanders pick, why would the panthers give Tremble another year as the starter when he hasn’t even been able to crack 200 yards in a season so far? The panthers mostly focused on improving the defense and O-line in free agency so it’s makes sense that they would focus on getting more weapons in the draft for Bryce Young, which they did.
@hawkeye0378 - The Panthers did very well in free agency. They vastly improved their defense and offensive line. The also did very well in the draft. Xavier Legette was a great pick and playing with Diontae Johnson and Adam Theilen should make for a more productive passing game in 2024. Sanders was a necessary selection because the Panthers have had almost no production from their TE's over the last 4 seasons. Why did it take so long? I really like that the Panthers drafted a RB. I believe Trey Benson would have been a wiser pick. Why draft Jonathan Brooks off an ACL injury when Trey Benson was great last season and ran a 4.39 forty at the combine? I am happy they are trying to improve RB. Why take a chance when there was another option available? A healthy Jonathan Brooks is a great RB. Hopefully, it will work out well for the Panthers.
Thank you for putting teams in chapters I'll subscribe for that
Finally! The “reaction” source I’ve been looking for. Thanks 🙏
Hayden describing how USC’s defense got roasted by some safety had me in tears
Great content once again
Vikings & lions did work.
looking forward to facing them this year. bear down!
@@RCortez1986 down to fourth in the NFC north
@@iBMcFly let's talk about it in 2 years
The whole NFC north did well in the draft, it would have taken a colossal fail for the Bears to blow it with their embarrassment of assets.
#SKOL SKOLLLLLLL The Vikings are hungry from pillaging Detroit in the Draft! Now we Eatttt!! & there's only Bear & Lion on the Damn Menu...Oh yeah & a little Swiss cheese! 😋
Thanks guys 👍👍
"When are you going to target Zeke?" "7." "7th pick or 7th round?!" "7 years ago."
And we have a Snoop Connor reappearance?! Lol.
You play anyone in the NFC north you better bring your best secondary even then it may not matter
Still scratching head over Penix. Great person and great player. It was not the right pick for where the Falcons are now. They ranked near the bottom in sacks, QB pressures, and edge efficiency. So a huge question at the edge position with every edge player at their fingertips.
just discovered. keep it COMING!
Not sure about grading Dallas and Washington the same, Washington got a whole lot better. Dallas didn't.
Except for their glass QB
@@ianshay2053 Not like Dak has ever won anything, i'll take fast new exciting guy over that anyday.
That's a joke and i'm not a fan of either team.
Giovanni Manu there’s a note saying “nobody ranks Europeans”.
I hate to break it to you, but he was born in Tonga, which is not in Europe, and went to school in Canada, which also is not in Europe.
If you can play, they'll find you
You giving the Panthers a C- grade is crazy... At most a B+
I think if you factor in that they would have had the 1st overall pick if they didn't trade it, that drgas their grade down a bit.
@@kneesnap1041we picked up a 2nd next year!!!!
Weird argument @@kneesnap1041
@@kneesnap1041 no it doesn’t the fact we got what we needed with what we had in this draft is a B+ other channels even gave us a B+ an it doesn’t really matter what these guys think or others long as our picks work out which Ik they will we did good
As a Cardinals fan, I can’t wait to see the team line up in 12 personnel, and run it over and over again, then snake teams with the PA to McBride or MH Jr.,
Not to mention if the left side has a bigger/stronger lb over Tip then they have the option to have him go for a corner route while Wilson is running a post which causes the safety to have to choose between which one he helps. This opens either something over the middle OR a sideline pass to Tip to run up the sideline w/ no saftety help which he excels at. And thats just 1 option out of 12 personel. Its going to be sweet. So many presnap options in our future.
@@orian8011 a simple cover 3 play call shuts that exact concept down.
AZ had a great Draft but they still need a QB.
@@ricardorivera7549 Then you run it straight ahead and take a couple yards. Or you call a hot rout to Trey after having him shift to the slot and then run a slant. And have Tip run a quick out. Options upon options to take advantage of mismatches is what I was saying. Is there a way you know of to break a cover 3 coverage (honestly cuious) because I tend to think PA is a pretty useful tool against it as well as the space between your 2nd and 3rd level on defense potentionaly being wide open.
@@RuizSBLVIChamps Okay. I think you may have left something under that bridge down the way.
If you weren't expecting Legette to go that high then its not a reach just because you're that wrong. He was going to be SUPER GONE by pick 40 regardless of which team took him
Yea these “grades” are basically how closely reality was to their mocks 😂
Just because he went that high or was going to doesn't mean he wasn't a reach. That's not how things work. Historically teams hit on WRs less than 30% of the time in the 1st. Lowest of all position groups. Meaning the NFL has no idea to judge and value WRs.
He was absolutely a reach based strictly on his skill set.
I wouldn’t say so but he was around there. I think a fair few ppl and orgs were lower on Legette. I like him not love him like so many other WRs in the class. Still would give them B- to C+ but not below C.
@@ryanquinn1257 on the pick or the draft? On the draft they deserve a D at best.
Missed on the panthers got a 2nd next year and solid weapons for Bryce
Keep Pounding 💙
giving the panthers a c- is a fucking joke. people need to get certified before they talk sports i stg
Maybe if you actually listened to their argument instead of crying you'd understand. People need to get certified before commenting on sports RUclips channels I stg.
@@CheeseWheelEnthusiast the reasons didn’t make sense. Legette and Brooks weren’t reaches. And who cares if their not a running back away? They need to get weapons for Bryce Young and a better running game will help take pressure off him. Plus taking another WR would be a way more waste of a pick since the panthers already have Johnson, Thielen, Mingo, TMJ and now Legette.
@CheeseWheelEnthusiast The arguments he said is what didn't make sense😂. The stuff he said was a clear sign that he doesn't know what he's talking about. He clearly hasn't paid attention to what the Panthers has done in free agency which dictated the moves they made in the draft while also making moves that recouped mistakes from the former regime
These guys are stupid 😂
Cry baby keep crying baby
keep that same energy about the panthers. don't delete anything.
that's why there are two sides to the conversation. We disagreed on picks. - Josh

When does best ball open?
Well done gents, you know a lot about the bones of these teams and how the draft choices fit, or don't quite fit.
Hayden would you ever do a video on how you build your graphs or models? I don't want you to show any private information, but I would love to see you make a video showing the technical side that I know you have. I have just started using R myself and its been a lot of fun to use. I have always admired your graphs and "models" overall! thanks as always, cant wait to see the video
Slide in my DMs on Twitter if you have a question with it. Plenty of tutorials I can send over. Ben Baldwin has a good one for example.
SIMPLY THE BEST BOYS!!!
Get some rest.
Giving a grade for teams right after the draft shouldn’t be a thing. Never truly means anything but I appreciate the work still boys!
Agree but 3 years from now shoukd be the real grade
@@southsidetone yeah I’d even give it 4 years so we can see what is after their rookie contracts
@@Cjrf11butonytwhy would you wait 4 years when you can get views now? Lmao you’re obviously not a content creator
@@KrakkenXXX yes I’m obviously not a content creator. I get what they’re doing but it doesn’t even matter. I know it’s just for views
Eagles also got tremendous value and addressed dbs big time….
You simply need CBs to win late in the playoffs. Can not get burned in big situations and 3rd downs when every play matters. Niners losing not just Greenlaw but DB Huafanga to injury probably cost them the Super Bowl with only one real solid CB. On the other hand, KC probably won the SB on Sneed’s play.
@@PeteMDYeah I’d say it was less the 49ers losing and more the Chiefs winning… McDuffie and Sneed were fucking unbelievable in that game…
Outsiders crazy-ass prediction:: The Eagles secondary will be top 3 next few years. They just got stupid good for 3 years back there.
Eagles went crazy imma Vikings fan
They do pretty much every year. Nothing new
Something about the Niners- they scheme so much and so effectively that in game injuries wreck them. If it’s the Deebo game and he gets hurt, it all falls apart. They’ve played a lot of football the last three years and injuries are going to happen. They needed to get younger/cheaper weapons and adding a crossover type who does a bit of Deebo and a bit of Aiyuk makes a lot of sense.
🔥🔥🔥
As a diehard Cardinals fan, the beat writer joke was too real 🤣
We can't even mic up our press conferences properly lol
Happy to be a resident insider for y'all though! 👀 Keep up the great work fellas!
Last time eagles took cbs in the first 2 rounds was Lito Shepard and Sheldon Brown back in like 02. They turned out great hopefully these guys do as well
That draft also had Michael Lewis and Brian Westbrook as the next 2 picks. If this draft is anywhere close to as good it'll be scary for the rest of the NFC East.
Quick genuine question for Hayden: you often mention Jayden Daniels' lack of pass attempts under pressure, but do you think that gets offset by his actual results under pressure? Yes he only attempted passes on 50% of pressured dropbacks vs 65%ish for the Mayes/Calebs of the world, but he converted 1st Downs on 33% of pressures, compared to 25% for those other two. Additionally, he also had a better Passing PFF grade, NFL QB Rating, Completion percentage etc while facing pressure.
All this is a long-winded way to say, is there a chance you're being too harsh on him with this one particular metric? Attempted passes at a lower clip vs pressure, but maybe picked his spots - since he had so much more success when he *did* throw
IMO I just have a feeling he won’t work out. He doesn’t seem like a quarterback. I’m a bears fan and he reminds me of JF, mobile, big arm, but can’t throw over the middle and uses his legs too often. I don’t know how he’ll look without two first round wrs. I have a feeling though he won’t work
I would just worry about his rushing ability being a sustainable to the degree it was at LSU, and those WRs made his life so much easier. Daniels would be worth the 2nd pick in some drafts. Just liked Maye’s long term potential more. Can’t wait to see him in the pros
Im big bears fan and this is first time I've been excited about possible results immediately from all the additions last two years
I get that you had Maye above JD but calling the Commanders draft a B- is insane imo
Most analysts are crapping all over the Commies draft because they couldn't get one of the top Tackles. Short of giving up a future 1st and trading up into the top 20 there was just no way to get that done.
The LT problem scares me, but it really was the reaches on the TE, OT/G, and WR prospects that dropped it a little bit. None of those will really matter tho. Daniels is everything to this team.
@@brandondillman5841 Most analysts are not crapping on the commanders draft they are saying its great LMAO. Emphatically disagree.
Sennott a reach?!? The only OL we got wasn't a reach either. Now I would'nt have approached these picks the same way after Daniels (what the Steelers did was scary phenominal IMO), but I am not some football expert and the new regime has earned my absolute faith and trust in this new process! #HTTC!
@@UnderdogFantasy I kinda get that, but giving the Bears an A+ “based on the first two picks alone” (even if that’s a bit of hyperbole) should at least make their draft a B+ for the ceiling of JD and the value of Newton and Mikey
If the Bears were smart they would have traded up and got another tackle in top ten. You can get receivers anytime
Couldn’t agree more on the Bears evaluation Poles with a masterclass of a draft
Speaking of George Kittle, Tim reimann ranked 10th in ras in like the last 1200 tight ends drafted since like 1970. Dude is an athletic freak who just didnt get a chance to show it at at Illinois who didnt utilize tight ends. He takes tremendous pride in blocking just like Kittle. And I have never seen a TE talk about blocking like him besides Kittle. You can talk about the value all you want but I think he is going to be an absolute beast in the run and pass game for a team that uses multiple tight end sets.
Imagine a 200lb DB trying to tackle him in the open field
You really think JJ has a weak arm? He had the highest velocity of any QB in the class I thought?
Payout structure for bbm is awesome!
Josh is one of my favorite follows in the game! Love Hayden as well.
if the commanders listened to this guy, they would have reached for an OT just because it's a "need"
that's a snyder move and the snyder era is over. The team finally has competent front office leadership
also he's probably the only guy in the nation who would grade their draft as B-
For the Bears, our DE (final pick) has video of him working Morgan (Packers 1st rounder) at the senior bowl.
Remember that when the Bears dline gets absolutely owned by the Packers oline like they always do.
I think the Eagles nailed it!
I think the Falcons had ChatGPT draft for them
Lol….D for the Falcons! What players have returned from an Achilles tear??? Kirk Cousins just said this week he can only run in a straight line. No lateral movement??? Penix was my number 2 QB so they got the number 2 QB at 8. It’s a steal. But i plan to do a recap next year. And see who was right and wrong. Hayden’s been crazy wrong a lot of stuff so we should do some recaps on previous mistakes. That would be interesting and funny. You guys could laugh and get more likes too.
When has Kirk Cousins relied on mobility to be successful🤔
49ers WR core is stacked now which is awesome but I'm a little disappointed they didn't address the DE position opposite of Bosa in the draft. Hopefully they have a good plan to grab someone on FA or a trade.
Michael Penix and Bo Nix will be the most productive QB’s in this draft 8 years from now.
LEt’s see this video in 2 years, where is their 2022 draft grades video?
Cardinals - “where elite WRs go to waste their careers”
wow no bbmv today sad times
Bears getting Caleb and Rome is A+ , which pains me to say 😂
Let’s gooooooo
Blown away y’all dislike the Rams draft. I thought they had the best of any team from my cursory glance.
Technically last year was Jameson Williams rookie season. he came off ACL rookie season, then hit with suspension for gambling 2023 season, then he was getting duck and under thrown balls and he just flat dropped some. Once he encounter more DB's and defensive schemes you'll see GM holmes eyes on scouting
I wish the Pats didn’t trade out of their 2nd round pick and took Cooper DeJean. He’s a stud. Eagles got the two best corners in the draft by staying put. Their defense is gonna be crazy.
Ben Sinnott gonna prove lots of people wrong. He's a dog and can play all over the field. QBs best friend
Nothing matters after the first 2 picks???
These “grades” are all mostly based on how closely these teams drafted compared to what everyone had mocked. It’s bias to the highest degree, but regardless, is everyone forgetting that Eberflus is still the head coach of the Bears? You can have a stacked roster but if the playcalling is horrendous, they’re not winning any games.
My Bears have put the league on Notice! Da Bears! 💪🐻
They did say Jameson Williams is expected to be the X receiver
Good show, but you failed to do your homework on the Bucs draft.
51:00 Devon Witherspoon could be that Kyle Hamilton type (safety/hybrid) & obviously Byron Murphy could be that Madubike type
No RB at all taken by the Cowboys, WTH? Spot on for the Cowboys, and the comment about the love for Zeke is uncanny. Jerry loves all our players, like his own kids. Doesn't have that cut throat mentality and thus keeps players too long or welcomes them back when they should be gone for good, a' la, Jason Witten, what a bum he turned out to be after the TV stint. Stay tuned for Zeke to fall short, we're a mess.
Cowboys really went against their nature and made the smart, boring picks instead of the flashy picks. This draft spoke volumes about their plans moving forward - I think their version of “all-in” may be pertaining to Lance’s future, not Daks current situation. Excited to see what Lance can do in the preseason, time to see if the hype is real. Great content as always gentlemen.
Giving a C to the panthers is disrespectful
Panthers Fans!!! XL HAS ARRIVED!! #KeepPounding
Everyone crying about the Penix pick because they didn’t take the guy that went #23😂 they took a guy that was 100% getting drafted 9, 10, 11, or 12
I think Carolina should have taken McConkey over Legette. More complete receiver imo.
I would not be surprised in the least if Jacob Cowing ends up being more productive in SF than Pearsall.
He was WAY more productive in college. For multiple years. He’s always getting open. I like them both but I think Pearsall was a reach. But not hard to produce in the SF offense.
I don't know how much you individually research.. some players you have no clue how they played. Verse, for one. Im no Rams fan. He destroyed anyone , when not dropping. His % per actual rush not pass against is far higher. It took me a 5 minutes to look it up. I just wonder how many other players you screw up by regurgitating what others have said.
Guy on right clearly not fan of panthers. There grade alot better than C yall will see give us until middle year
McDaniels reminds me so much of RG3. And we all know what happened there
It's so strange that people have McCarthy above Penix in evaluations so consistently. Penix and Nix both showed way more on tape and were tasked with carrying teams. Penix has a great arm. Still a very dubious pick for the Falcons, but saying Penix is a round 2 qb prospect is wild I don't care how popular it is of a thought. Penix and Nix stack up very well vs 1st round QB's taken over the past decade.
All in...means since the structure of Dak Prescotts contract they went all in. Jerry Jones should have made that statement when they made the deal.
38:00 Minnesota Vikings
I wish I had a dime for every expert analyst out there lol. Plus, they are less accurate than weathermen but people buy into it.
Calling Legette and brooks a reach when we picked them right before other teams were going to take them is funny. NE tried to trade up to take Legette and Dallas told everyone they wanted brooks. Not to mention saying we traded up for Brooks is not the whole story we traded back got a 2nd for next year and a 5th then traded that 5th to move back up and beat Dallas to the best RB in the draft. Legette was the best contested catch WR and best blocking WR in the draft class going to a team that struggled with both those things and said they were going to be run first.
How long do you think cousins can play at a high caliber because at 36 Matt Ryan , Big Ben , drew brees started to declined . And the rams went all in for one year and look at them now and can’t make the playoffs and how long that was since they won the superbowl
Bro said we have to question Jayden Daniels durability but then immediately said after “he hasn’t missed much time” 😂🤦🏾♂️ then says Coleman played A TON of guard in college. Bro literally played 4 games at guard because off a mid season ankle injury. Like at least know what you’re talking about 😂😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️
Rams absolutely dominated this draft. Hate to break that to you Hayden. Feel even better about the draft now bc you clearly didn't watch any of their draft picks.
Bears could have drafted me in the 3rd and theyd still have the same grade. although it would truly be a bears move to somehow fuck up two top 10 picks
Bears draft grades mean nothing. When I see it on the field, I will believe it.
😄 Only Scooby can say Orhorhoro's name properly
Good God, why not just say "Packers, who cares. Moving on"
1:22:55 I think Rico will be the 1a above Zeke and i'll be drafting him a ton
Agreed. Rico is massively underrated and disrespected.
Imagine the Falcons with Rome instead of Penix. As a Packers fan I’m glad they didn’t take him.
I’m so mad the dolphins took Malik Washington over Johnny Wilson
Y’all skipped Jeremiah Trotter Jr for the eagles…
Great cowboys draft
That is disappointing that you all are so low on JT Sanders. He might not be able to separate much, but his hands are ridiculous.
Bears used 8 picks not 5. Add 2nd round traded for Montez Sweat. Add 4th round traded for Keenan Allen. Add 6th round trade for Byard. Thats 6 starters. 5 Probowl caliber. + a swing tackle. Maybe the best use of draft capital in NFL history.
AND we have a 2nd next year from CAR trade......absolutely filthy
The falcons grade is a bit ridiculous. They obviously believe they already have the pieces to win now and Kirk is pretty much on a 2 year and old as dirt. I would have picked JJ but if your guy is there take him
