It was reported years ago that the "Grantchester's" did not rate Kenwright and did not want anything to do with him.

The cost of this new stadium is killing the club yet 20 years ago we could've had one for just £30m and one mans ego and determination to be in control ended it. The Echo itself, and Prentice in particular, should be ashamed as they openly supported Kenwright throughout his disastrous tenure at the club and were too feared to call him out.

On the face of it, this does seem a massive missed opportunity.
