The soundtrack of my ‘80s, ‘90’s … forget all that, I’m 63 years old and have been listening since Treasure was released and a rep gave me this as a free promo at the record store I was working in at the time. I was in my 20s then and I’m still here listening to Cocteau Twins.

A girl in school way back when, who I thought had excellent taste in music, spoke of these guys. I had no idea who they were at the time. Next time I was in a music store I seen this on CD so I bought it without having even heard it. Every time I listen now I am taken back to my school days and am reminded of that girl.

I bought the cassette format of Four Calender Cafe, when it was released. It was double sided, so the whole lp repeated, on each side. Needless to say, I listened to it, pretty much non stop, for ages, driving everyone else in the house round the twist! It is just so romantic. Wistful. Melancholic. Sad to think it kind of whispered, hinted at the ending of Liz and Robins relationship, a bit later on. It always seems a shame, when people who have been together for a while cannot sort out their differences, having to go their seperate ways. That happened to me, and it still makes me feel sad. FFC came out when we were still together. ❤️

I had a 12 year long relationship. We never married, but it was very significant. I was in love every single one of those days. I knew CT since the 90s, but I delved into them seriously in 2016-2017, which were the final years of that relationship. So, I know exactly the feeling.
