The case looks similar to D8. The adding features is a nice idea and was also to see the charging voltage when you where viewing the scanner.

Yeah it's me again. I see the K10 is 2yrs updates and $399 each year thereafter. I found that the K8 is also 2yrs but cannot find an update amount after the 2yrs. Any idea what it might be? I know the K7 is $99 so I was thinking the K8 is probably somewhere in between. Anyways, I will admit that the Kingbolen cost of ownership is higher than the XTools but they do have some nice perks not available elsewhere. I'll be honest, the K8 vs K10 is negligible and appears to be mostly the screen size and a few extra special functions but not much else.

Aliexpress sells the update cards for the K8 and K10 for $303.00. Since the price is the same for both, I would assume the software is identical. The main difference between the K8 and K10 is the screen size, and the K10 has topology.

Yes, the Kingbolen K8 can read a Dodge PIN code, as it is specifically designed to support FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) vehicles, including Dodge, and has the capability to retrieve the IMMO PIN code when all keys are lost, allowing for key programming functions.

I didn't have any luck pulling PIN codes on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler, 2019 RAM, or 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

    Great overview on the scanner.
Do you like this scanner better than the Xtool D8?
    Thanks.

I haven't used it enough to form an opinion. Time will tell but it is at least as good so far.
