You know there are plenty of great congueros past and present...I been fallowing and have been mentored by the great Poncho Sanchez since about 1998.His style is unique and contains mucho son...Poncho Plays con ganas.I love his style and in my opinion is the best when it comes to the different sounds he produces out of the conga drums...opens,slaps,mutes,mini slaps,bass tones,etc...I like how he takes his time playing to get great sounds out of the drum con mucho soul!!!!...I respect the fast congueros but I like Ponchos style and son the most...Ron,Joey,Francisco,Rene tearing it up as well...Ron Blake is up there with the best I've heard
