      Fr. If it is gonna be a problem during certain bosses or whatever, then keep it the same in certain scenarios and make it clear. But for questing, skilling, grinding, etc., it would be fine. Especially with keeping new players in the game, which really is the biggest part imo.

      Neither group should experience this crappy problem after the changes. Why God would you want to fix a problem for one group and then add it to another group? How does that make any sense?

    I'd be cool if you could store graceful in a POH and use fashionscape to train agility as how it is now. Start with something small before getting too grand scale with an agility update.

      Fucking how? I'm 81 Agility and never even dip below 70 run energy doing a full tree/fruit tree run with only 2 pieces of graceful (gloves and cape) as I'm wearing the Farmer outfit.

    Really simple solution: unlimited run energy unless youre in combat, the wildy or a dungeon, means that almost all quests and bossses are exactly the same, but you can run around the overword a lot faster (and a couple of skilling grinds will be a little easier). Done.

      That would tank energy pots making herblore worse make agility essentially useless and tank amalyse so you wouldn’t profit anything from marks. It’s fine with the way it is but I agree with heavier penalties based on gear weight

    Them increasing the drain rate when your weight is high is stupid and contradictory to all the other changes they are proposing.... Who tf looks at their weight? So it's basically "Make it easier for new players, and screwing experienced end-game players" The same ideology that is ruining every game out there....

    I think that graceful change is actually sick. Agility sucks, falling in the middle of a course is terrible. Unlimited run energy out in open areas is a great idea. Having to drink staminas in the middle of blast furnace or mining trips doesn't add anything. Sacrifice stamina cost/value to make the game better overall.

    Could have strength play into carry capacity. Higher strength = ability to carry heavy objects while retaining run energy making your kg carried less detrimental to end game.

    just make your agility level gain you more run energy, like 90 agility you gain 10 run, 50 youd gain 4 run energy, im sure they can work out what the real numbers would be by putting percentage on lvls or whatever and factor in weigh to add a -xx depending on your weight. but this proposal just sounds like a debuff to graceful which id be for, if the regen

    Could probably just set it so at 99 agility with 0 weight, you lose no energy when running. Then just scale agility to affect regen rate and weight affect drain rate up to whatever max they want to set and make it linear.

    The fix is: Energy pots are now available to member players from Trainer NPC in lumbridge. At 99 agility run drain is now 26% slower.
    If this new update has the Mets of flicking my run energy I’m done.

      That fix doesn't fix anything, it just shifts the problem to drinking more potions until you are 99 agility

    I tested in my cox gear, and since I mix in walk/run at olm, under new regen rates I nearly break even without using stams

    I say we hafe run energy drain slower with higher agility levels. I think it is that way already... But i dont see a difference.. i do like whdn we had the option to "rest" snd recharge energy faster

    Back of the envelope it's not too hard a nerf even for end game if you're walking part of the time. 4:1 olm breaks right about even, sara gwd kiting control clicking gets better, and the other shit calls for stam pots anyways.

    I'm glad it's not just me who doesn't like the changes. For context, I've gotten 99 Agility on 3 separate accounts, and am currently 93 Agility on my 4th one.
    I'll have to see how the new regen and drain energy stuff works first before I pass judgment on it, but from what I understood in the blog it's overly complicated and unbalanced. My main pet peeve, though, are the proposed Graceful changes: them getting rid of the run energy restore is something I'm ambiguous about. But why on Earth are they going to make it give an increased chance of spawning Marks of Grace? You can already get Marks of Grace at every course now, so they're already more abundant than they were previously. This change will only make their price drop even more; and as someone who used to make good starting cash by doing non stop Agility, this irks me.
    But the cherry on top is that Graceful will now give a 100% success rate on rooftop courses, meaning that you will get maximum xp per hour at every course as soon as you unlock it. This will make courses like Seers (where you usually will fail obstacles until the mid 70's or early 80's I believe) even more broken. Not to mention that one of the few things that makes Agility feel like a progressive skill is that failrate doesn't go away until a certain level; removing fail rate completely will make Agility even more soul crushing to train, since you'll no longer have even that slight motivation to keep you going.
    Lastly, if you stop failing completely, you will no longer need to bring food occasionally when training Agility, and bots will be able to train Agility with even more ease than before. Neither of which seems like a good thing.
    Agility has a lot of flaws, and the run energy drain for new players is a nuisance. They're not wrong about that. But these changes are overkill, and just don't seem like the right way to go about fixing things

    Interesting how this is going to effect wilderness hybriding. Seems like if you have a low agility level you'll be at a slight disadvantage vs someone with higher agility, since the lower agility user will have to be more mindful of their run energy/stamina. Whereas the higher agility player would be more or less unaffected. Most low level agility pkers might have to start sacrificing food slots for more stam pots

    I just don't understand why they have to ruin graceful and its primary purpose. Updating an armor set to cater to fasionscape, is like complaining about having wear melee armor to melee effectively...
    Sure, the no fail effect for agility courses is cool... but does that not feel more like something the agility cape should have?

      @user-ky1hf8ry7q I don't know, but I feel like alot of capes have that same sentiment of providing a bonus that isn't necessarily useful past 99. It would fit the current precedent more.
      I would love if they added that bonus to the graceful set...but not if it's taking away the most prominent use case.
      I like how the graceful set is useful in so many different activities. Making these changes would make it useless, while not even offering alternatives in it's place.
      Besides, fashionscape already has a plugin for players to look as they desire.

    Its weird bc it will go down faster but regenerate approxinately twice as fast with more weight. So it sounds like the player will still have that "skill" of controlling when to run/walk and budget it during different activities.
    Not sure if there is any way to know if this is bad or good without in game testing or just releasing it to see what it is like.
    I just hope this doesn't ruin any activities that relied on that particular value of run energy duration with a particular amount of weight.

    allow running energy regen but at 1/4 or 1/2 the amount, change stamina pot to be a slightly lower regen reduction and/or convert some of the reduced % and add it to energy regen

    I feel like this just fucks up most of the "skillful management of run energy" grinds because you now just drain quicker anyway even at 99 and dont get the graceful bonus anymore. So you just have to buy a fuckload of more run energy potions and staminas.

    I think the main thing with this proposal is "who" and "why", when it comes down to it. All Agility needs to do is let you do obstacles and have slower run drain... like... what, did some neckbeard try to runecraft in his favorite event items and get mad, throw a temper tantrum on Reddit, and then send all the mods on Twitter salty tweets about how dumb it is that you need Graceful to run longer?
    My money is really on that niche minority of people that get salty they can't wear event gear when doing farming runs... who really don't matter, at the end of the day, because RuneScape has never been a game about fashion, but a game about gear/stat-based validation. All Jagex can really do to Agility and run at this point is either bite the bullet and add the RS3 rest option (not a big deal, really), raise stamina decay at higher agility levels
    (which, you know, it should), or add cosmetic transmogs options to gear (provided you have the item and stats to equip it) so that dumb-dumbs can wear their hideous event items and be happy...

    I really think they should allow anything that regens health to regen your run energy that much as well. For example if a shark heals 20 health it should regenerate your run energy by 20 as well. I think it fills the gap between normal regeneration and super energy/stam potions.

    IMO buff the duration and recharge and also give a very minor amount of xp just for walking. For example it could be 10-20k for non-stopility walking. This would drastically improve early game well essentially doing nothing to end game as everyone uses tp's. Another option would be making it to where you don't lose run energy when on roads/pathways.

    The rebalance isn't to buff run energy. Its mainly to just buff early game and skilling running (except blast furnace rip). Good Players will take advantage of regen buff via walking (AKA no stamina Zilyana, walking during Olm 3-0). Bad players will be stam potted there anyway.

      if you are 64kg and need to run you would bring a stam anyway noone is running around with inventorys full of granite for fun

    I like the idea of walking less when you're low weight, and then make like 55kg+ weight consume the same energy rate that it does now. Buff having lower weight and keep high weight where it is now; doesn't seem that difficult to me no need to make the run system worse for high weight.

    I personally don't have an issue with how run energy works right now. What they're proposing definitely seems pretty fucking stupid. Punishing late game gear is really dumb. However, maybe their prices might dip for a little bit so I can afford an upgrade haha.

    Drains a little less with less weight. Drains way more with more weight. They want to make it so we strategize what we're wearing and be more considerate of weight as a new "strategy mechanic." I'm voting NO. Make two different polls, one for the increase in regen and the other for the increase in drain rate so I can vote yes on regen and no on drain.
