I saw this album many years ago live in an unlikely place. Went to see the Strokes in New Hampshire and walked into this band and immediately bought this album at their merch table. It has been a part of my life.
My little brother introduced me to this band via this particular album years ago, probably close to its release. He died back in 2020 exactly one week after my grandfather that same year so A Place in Displacement seems to hit harder than it did when I first listened to it.

I discovered south last year at a thrift totally by accident, one of the best decisions of my life.

You should listen to their album before this one, "With The Tides". It is superb.
