- Welcome to In The Woods!
Today we are riding Highland Mountain Bike Park in Northfield, New Hampshire.
This is part 1, more videos will follow. I'm still in awe we finally got to make the trip down and see this place in person. It is nothing like anything I have ever ridden before. It's a shame because now I want to ride it every weekend!
This video focuses primarily on the super fun warm-up trails Highland has to offer. The next videos to come will showcase some of the more challenging trails.
Trails featured in this video are Cat's Paw, Freedom Trail, The Lynx, Fancy Feast, Upper Happy Hour, and Lower Happy Hour.

I freaking love New Hampshire. These trails look insane
I'm shocked the rider with the blue helmet (in front of camera a lot) didn't crash. Some sketchy riding there! Looks like a fun day though!
LOL yeah quite a few hairy moments 🤣 wish everyday was that fun!
elbows out would help
Roadie
Geezus that looks fun! Definitely adding to my wish list.
I've never done anything like this but I would love to try it. Here in Rhode Island we don't have any mountains. But last week I went to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and did the paved bike path up through Franconia notch headed north then South.
Looks awesome! Great lookin berms and trail! I would've had to pass buddy in the front. 😂 he's a lil sketch 🤘🏼🤘🏼
🤣🤣🤣🤣
i hope to make it to Highland for the first time in 2024...nice video looks like you guys enjoyed yourselves...see you out there
Awesome place so fun
I love highland its the best
I definitely have to try that place next year!
You will not be disappointed, I can't wait to go back!
Sweet riding!! What kind of bike? that a Instinct? if so how's your setup and how'd it ride it?
Deadly
Need to get yourself there if you haven't been!
Great video. Can't wait for them to open back up ... I'd be terrified not wearing a full face tho!
Thank you!! We are going back in July, already can't wait! I have finally invested in a full face :) about time I'd say!
@@inthewoodsmtb Nice, you'll ride with more confidence! I just saw on Instagram they're opening 4/26 this season, so figured I'd watch some more POV ... Hoping to get better at berms this season. I don't know why, I'm good at jumping, drops and decent at tech, but my berms are awful. You see guys flying through them and gaining speed as they come out, but not me. I try looking ahead and try leaning, but I'm usually not going fast enough cause I'm afraid to go over the berm. Can't tell on RUclips, but as you know it's a lot steeper, and not like there's cushions and pillows on the other side. Hopefully I'll get good at em this year. Can't wait!
@@topspot4834 I know what you mean, its hard to get the confidence to really lean into them without feeling like your front wheel is going to slide out and propel your collar bone to the dirt lol. Tons of stuff I want to get better at too but its mostly hitting jumps in bike parks because I'm not used to hitting jumps so fast!
@@inthewoodsmtb just got back from a 3 day visit ... So much fun, but definitely heading back up when all the trails and hopefully Central Park is open. Loved Cat's Paw and Fancy Feast, and was really able to practice berms on the green trails which I didn't expect!
@@topspot4834 That's awesome!! We are going back mid July. I still haven't been on my bike this year and will have to take it easy. Broke my hand playing hockey this winter and its still not ready to be biking like I want to unfortunately.
So it's boyne Highlands?
We got two of these for our daughters ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L the same size for age 6 and 9. It works very well for both girls. Gears were very easy for them to learn. Changing gears up takes some hand strength and is a bit hard, but they are learning. They did not come with water bottle holders- we actually got confused and thought the Derailler Guard was the bottle holder!! Regardless of these details, the bikes are fantastic- even our six year old who only just learned to ride bikes caught on within an hour of practice and loves it. Lightweight and easy for them to handle. All the parts are in excellent condition and the bikes are easy to assemble and very well packaged. Great choice for kids!
You should never follow the blue helmet guy anymore. He was scaring my kids with his riding. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
What was the first trail you went down on?
it was cat's paw, a blue flow trail 👍
Why do you keep saying “I guess it’s just a blue tech trail” as if it’s supposed to be something other then how it’s marked and this would be a green tech trail at mountain creek bike park in nj
It was our first time riding it, we weren't sure if it was a blue flow or blue tech.
I feel like DH bikes is too much biking for the whole park
Where is this?
Its in Northfield, New Hampshire!
Did u not read the description 😂
@@Chasemtb2392 same way they read the sign apparently
Nice video. Fix your mic.
GoPro mic or for the voice over?
He's probably just nitpicking and taking about the wind
@@topspot4834 I finally turned wind reduction on at the end of the season but haven't posted a video with it. I just didn't realize to turn it on unfortunately.
Highland is also where a biological man won the womens competition. I'll stick with Loon
This is your reason to skip out on one of the best bike parks in America? How stupid
Highland built loon smart guy
