Join my girlfriend and I as we sail this Old Town Wahoo sailing canoe on the Buffalo Harbor. We had a great day of sailing my new toy in the clear weather and moderate wind.
This is a really awesome canoe. I just recently learned about them. I’m trying to build my own diy version and I’ve got the sail but I’m not sure the best position for the mast and leeboard. I was wondering if you would measure the distance from the center of your dagger board slot to the center of the mast step? I have a 72sf sail so it should be about the same as your set up.
@@haoleboyshow-tos2279 thank you. I have been looking at those as well and found a guy on eBay who makes replica parts. I have the sunfish mast and spars so I’m trying to make that work. I can either get a sunfish sail or mini fish sail 66sf or 80sf and I’d like to have the largest sail possible but within reason. Having an outrigger should allow me to fly a larger sail without capsizing as easily.

@@YdocFrench I can take a look for you.
If you are doing a conversion, I would look at the Grumman sailing canoes for resources.
