    It’s always a pleasure to see you, Mr. Palian🇦🇲❤️however, I don’t see any future between Armenia and Turkey unless my grandmothers and my grandfathers parental homes and lands will be owned by Armenians❤️🇦🇲 and I will be able to visit and stay there safely‼️

      Your armenian grandparents sided with invading Russian forces and committed war crimes behind our lines so they were forced out from Anatolia, they were killed and injured during the long marsh out from Anatolia under war conditions. First you will never get an inch of Anatolia so you can forget about it. Secondly you will understand that sided news agencies like that wont change the conditions of armenia or armenians around the world.

    A clarification regarding secularism is needed here. Secularism is separation of religion and state. What the new republic of Türkiye post Ottoman Empire tried to empoze is separation of individual and religion. This is not secularism it is something else. Naturally people did not embrace this new ideology. What Erdogan did is lift this burden off from Türkiye’s citizens. He made it ok and normal to be a Muslim while serving the state. Remember before Erdogan in a country 90+% Muslim, if the state got a whiff you were overtly Muslim or conservative you were not allowed to serve in public service. Imagine in Armenia getting kicked out of public service and schools for wearing the cross or for being a Christian. For this single act Erdogan is now labeled an Islamist. He did not abolish secularism, he merely put it on the right track. Garo was an MP during Erdogan’s time, if Erdogan reeled back from secularism then explain to me how a state hating, Christian Armenian became an MP in Turkish parliament? This is the hypocrisy of the west.

    The diaspora, who dont benefit from armenian development, would never go for this. Resentment and hostility between Armenia and its neighbours doesnt effect them practically as they live in western countries.

    A panel discussion should be the next video format for such interviews. Let views heard here from Garo Paylan be compared and contrasted with others. There are ideas expressed by him, influenced by certain readings of events over recent decades and years. For example Paylan has hope resting on “Europe”, a context that is increasingly complicated by events of recent years. Europe is not now what it was before, it is a zone of declining economies, reduced democracies and in many respects moving towards being a values-free zone like the United States (in its foreign policy in words and action). I say all this from the perspective of following Armenian events closely for over 40 years, living in Sydney, and born in Tehran migrating at the age of seven.

    Mr. Garo Paylan has been one of the wise deputies in Turkish Parliament, but he has forgotten to state that the leader of main nationalist Party of Turkiye had Armenian grand-mother, those kurdish members of Turkish government also have armenian heritage, why either armenians in Turkiye, or in diaspora always forget about it?!

    • @fatihersayn7877
      @fatihersayn7877 День назад

      Turkish nation is very nationalistic and has super strong pathriarcial culture. One Armenian grandmother or grandgrandmother will not effect anything about that nationalist leader(if it is really true) or anyone else. It will not change anything about our Caucasian policy.

      I will listen Mr. Paylan, but I will not do what he says. Did he ever think Russians will be out and USA will be in Armenia? Turkey is a bankrupt country in a total disarray. There will be no peace between Turkiye and Armenia. But it will be a peace between Azerbeijan and Armenia.

    He speaks as Armenia is his country. This guy was born in turkey and served in the parliament. He confesses his treasonous act in minute 9:30 and he shares info with a foreign government. I never supported acts against minorities living in Turkey but it seems nationalistic retoric was right at the end of the day…

    Thank you Patrick for asking straight and right questions.
    If I hadn't heard his answers by myself I barely could believe how professionally he promoted rajab like we've never seen before from any turkish citizen.
    It looks-like his news sources are turkish translated russian tv-chanels, accusing France, United states and the whole western countries that put rajab at his place for his wrong doing and close ties with putin.
    When Garo says turkey is the only way to Europe, is a big manipulation, if you look at the map you can easily see the countries of the same interests in handle and transportation

    Alevis are not minority but majority in Türkiye.
    Armenians were one of the main pillars of Ottoman Empire. After 1st ww like all nations of empires Turks asked for their liberty and succeded, Only Armenians and Kurds could not succeeded in independency because they could not unite the different tribes as a nation. Neither Armenians nor Kurds are never been a united nation in the history. Small kingdoms and feudal tribes.

      You are right when Armenians had their kingdoms since 750BC for over two millenniums your Central Asian Turkish ancestors were living in their luxury Yurts with their four-legged animals!

    • @AraratArmenia-hi4xw
      @AraratArmenia-hi4xw День назад +2

      Tens of thousands of Alevis in Dersim (Tunceli) were massacred in 1937-1938 by way of staged coups and this even was denied by successive Turkish governments until Er-dog-an (AKP) needed their votes to become president. He exposed the republican party (CHP) secrets, at the time as a the only political party, for killing Alevis. How long are you going to lie and fabricate history? This admission of Alevi massacres by Er-dog-an is a proof of that!
