I’m so glad that I still haven’t watched all your “older” videos, so I can now just sit and stich my own fabric and just listen to your calm voice explaining how to make this beautiful piece. This makes me feel so happy and lucky🫶🏻🌷🌺💗🥰
Watching you work and listening to your gentle voice is so soothing. You've inspired me to start a quilt and I'm quite happy about that. I don't think you will ever run out of ideas so I'm planning to watch your videos for years. Thank you.
Oh how I wished I'd used cotton cloths when I used to paint. I love this idea. I always used paper towels, then chucked them away. I haven't painted in years, and I was just a novice back then.
Hello Marion, you are truly inspirational. After watching you I am now on my third kawandi and have just started my stitch journal this evening, 7.45 pm. Looking forward to more of your videos. Thank you.
Hi Marion, from Boulder, Colorado USA. I too, like you, find it hard to do an everyday thing but I decided this year to give it a go. I Love slow stitching and quite frankly I love everything fabric, paint sculpting and nature. You are my kindred Spirit for sure. I just wish my ideas would slow down so I could at least finish one thing before starting a new and completely different project. Love your work. ❤
Lovely video! I'm finding these videos really helpful as they are inspiring and yet so simple and easy to follow and complete. I'm off to sort through my scrap samples right now. It is lovely to see glimpses of your other ongoing projects and look forward to seeing more of them as they progress. Thank you for all your effort and hard work in providing such lovely videos.
You are so amazing! I am still watching the older videos and I am so glad that they are there for me to see! Every one is awesome! I will look for the tree as it looks like something I might do too! Above my kitchen cabinets I have pieces of bush branches that were cut off and attached to a piece of wood like little trees. I painted them all white and put tiny white lights all over them and it looks quite magical! I want to ask if you have ever done a video about how you store and organize your supplies? Since I am moving, I will pay close attention to how I organize in my new small space. Also I wonder if you have ever done a video about paint pouring because my friend and I have talked about trying it. I realize that it may be a tender memory for you since you did it with your husband. My thought is that it also might be a great tribute and maybe inspire others to do it together. I like and appreciate everything that you do!, Thank you so very much!💕💕 Donna
I haven't done a paint pouring video 🤔 but it's on my very long list of video ideas... And as for storage.. I'm currently re organising my sewing room and there'll be a video once I'm done... ☺️ I love the sound of you painted branches with fairy lights ☺️
The lowly paint cloth truly is a work of art. Love it. Thank you for sharing your work. I will be changing my paper towel cleaning cloths to pieces of fabric to clean brushes now that I know they can be beautiful art pieces.
Love your little “art gallery” who would have thought that could be created from an old piece of cloth that was used for cleaning your brushes, just proves there is beauty in everything. You really are so creative Marion
Fantastic! At last I’ve found someone who’s very like me! I love watercolours and nature journalling. Also I move from one project to another and love experimenting with different techniques. You’re very creative, Marion, and it’s a wonderful way to be. There’s so much unhappiness in today’s world, but you have the ability to use your creativity to see all the beautiful things, and that’s a real gift. Thank you for sharing your many projects and ideas. I love it!😊
So fantastic! I have a watercolourbox, havent youse it for 30 years! 😥 This week I took a peece of fabric and paint it with the watercolours, in The colour of januari in Sweden . Pail blue, pail Pink, Grey, white , pail purple...and it made me so happy 😊.We have a lot of snow and it is -15 C today were I live. Thank you so very very much again! Tomorrow I will do my second running stich with the ribbon of my painted fabric 👍❤
Thank you Mary. Letting go of 'perfection' was a great lesson for me years ago. I realised I enjoyed myself more and accomplished more once I wasn't worrying about all the bits I thought were wrong. Of course.. there are times when things need to be just so. But in general just creating more, means more practice, and then you improve all the time.☺️
You have given me a brilliant idea - I do not have any paint cloths as I am no artist but I do have a collection of tiny pieces of Liberty print fabric that was given to me by a friend and have often wondered what to do with them so a big thank you from me for the inspiration to make good use of them.
Oh, Marion, you are a peach! I smiled thru the end of the video; so happy to see you and hear your voice. I watched the first 2/3 of your video last night, but I kept falling asleep. I stayed up too late again. I 💜💜💜 what you’re doing. So far, it is an excellent primer for beginners. I’m enjoying your spontaneous art. It’s fun. Thanks for inviting us into your world. 💜💜💜
Thanks Mara. That's what I was hoping. There's a lot of people who are new to stitching anything at all. Hopefully it's nice to practice stitches whilst also knowing you're making something lovely.
Oh Marion u really make me smile, old paint cloths whatever next,.! I went to a boot sale last weekend snd managed io buy some linen curtains so i can start my stitch journal with them. Your ideas are so imaginative i shall enjoy sewing them. Thanks again for giving us your precious time and fantastic ideas.Paulinex
Think I'm going to find me an old sheet or pillow case, my granddaughter and I use paper towel when we paint. I will be exploring the closet for potential rags. Thank you for being such a great inspiration.
That is SO lovely!!!❤ I don't have a paint cloth, and my old denim was too heavy, so I'm using scraps from quilt fabric and part of an old work shirt from my husband. Just looking at the composition, before stitching anything down, is bringing me joy... that's what it's all about, right? Thank you, Marion, for another wonderful tutorial. I always look forward to your next videos. ❤❤❤
Thank you for doing this project. My husband gave me some little squares of cotton he washes his brushes off with. What a great idea to showcase them! They look wonderful placed together on the denim. Thanks for sharing another wonderful idea. Your work is always beautiful to watch.
Thanks Marion for today’s inspirational week two video. Can’t wait to get started tomorrow on my own one. My new project is having a go at weaving with the simple table loom I got at Christmas. Never a dull moment in a crafters world is there. ❤️
You are such a talented lady I really enjoy watching what your next project will be each time . Really lovely stitching journal. Thank you for sharing your talents with us
You are an amazing artist and have inspired me so much. I am really enjoying stitching again. I am now the proud owner of my own ‘tangle’! So liberating not fussing with trying to put the leftover threads back on the bobbins I cut them from.
I had a tangle & didn’t know it had a name. I used to say I must sort that mess out..😂 Now I put it in a pretty little basket and gave it a name & an adding to it & going to use it in my stitch journal. Thanks Marion. I have paints so going to make a paint cloth before I stitch this week

Lovely video to watch for me. I am waiting to start a new embroidery project ‘soon’. I can’t start it just yet as I’ve been crocheting a baby blanket…… a sturdy wee thing, suitable for a car seat or a buggy. Each square has got an animal that has been crocheted and will be appliquéd on by me. My daughter is coming here tomorrow to help in all the placing of squares and livestock. Two heads will be better than one……. I’ve been wrangling these farmyard critters for ‘toooooooooo’ long and am getting a bit *💥😴☠️* of it!!!! I can’t wait for this WIP to become a FO😝 .
