This is only in the early weeks of Dawn Trail because you've got constant fates at level due to multiple instances. Once the extra instances go away, you'll have wait times for fates to respawn.
Dungeons to me are a More satisfying way to grind exp, plus you can farm leveled gear for it. Fates you can side grind while waiting on queue (If you're a DPS) to also advance your Gemstone vendors! So it's all absed on what you want to achieve, if you want gear or you want your vendors leveled up (as well as farming gemstones to make gil with crafters later, but details details). Pick and choose cuz both are valid options!
fates atm are just better simpy due to the fact its a huge money maker atm once you complete all shared fate zones you could make up to 3mil just from selling those vouchers sure dungeons if you're lucky can provide more xp but the xp and gil you get from fates is nuts
i'd say doing dungeons at your current level is better because you get to practice the jobs while dealing with mechanics. spamming fates will only result in brain rot.

Well for my brain it's better to do fate while i'm queuing for my last dungeon

Different people have different goals but yea lots of gil to be made.
I am still leveling 2 new jobs to lvl 100 with only daily roulettes no need to rush the expansion
