I promise I’m not going to do the accents the entire playthrough…. maybe 👀 Really hope you enjoy this one, I’m loving it already. Feel free to leave any QoL tips in the comments. I’m also thinking of upping the difficulty 🤔
My QoL tip would be to explore thoroughly since there’s a lot that can’t be backtracked and thus can be missed, but watching the video seems you didn’t need this tip 😅 your play style is perfect for this game.
If you use your eve or health syringe while the meter is filled, you lose that amount of it. For example, if your blue EVE bar is half filled and you decide to replenish it, you'll lose that half bar of EVE. So ideally, you'll want to use the entire thing before reloading HEALTH/EVE, just for efficiency. But it is a trade-off, as going into combat with nearly depleted eve/health bar can be fatal.
I am so excited to see you play this Nat! Your reactions to everything in the game are so fun! As far as the arrow, it depends on how tolerant you are about wandering around without knowing where you're going. If you like exploring, turn it off. There's tons to explore and following the arrow too closely will cause you to miss some of the smaller areas and rooms. If you're just concerned about getting from objective to objective then you should keep it on since it's easy to get lost in some areas. Also, there is no run button. You're always running. Don't worry about being locked out of the area at 30:00. That beginning section is somewhat linear so you didn't miss anything. Yes, you said "denizens" correctly😁 As far as what and how much to hack, I remember that I hacked anything and everything I could find. I loved that little mini-game. One really good item to hack is the security cameras. A hacked security camera will detect Splicers and other enemies and send friendly security bots to kill them. I believe two bots show up so if you have a hacked bot already then you'll have three security bots to help you out. You equipped the Hacker's Delight Tonic when you selected the empty slot, so you don't need to use a menu to equip it. Physical Tonics (i.e., "buffs") like the Hacker's Delight that you found in the crematorium can be swapped out at Gene Bank machines. You'll also get the option to swap them when you find a new one and the Physical Tonics menu opens. Plasmids work similarly and can also be swapped either when you find a new Plasmid or when you use a Gene Bank machine.
🐐 Jason, this was the most helpful spoiler free comment I’ve ever read! THANK YOU! Took on board everything you mentioned - found the gene change bank at last, so I get that a lot better - and I’m looting and exploring EVERYTHING 😂🤣 No stone shall go unturned!!
@@PhoenixNat You're welcome! I'm glad you found it all useful! I wasn't sure if I should mention the Gene Banks since you hadn't seen any, but I figured it wasn't really a spoiler since they aren't related to the story and you'd come across one soon anyway. Can't wait for the next video!
@@PhoenixNat SPOILER: By not going downstairs in the restaurant you missed an audio diary and some more enemies. You also missed a golden film reel in the theater where the 1st little sister was. So much for no stone unturned 😄
Okay I just have to say that this is one of my favorite games to watch someone play. I do not like this game for myself but the story is incredible and I love watching reactions to this. I'm all in!
Yes! Lovely to have you along for the ride on this series too Cadence ☺️ Playing it, I can see how fun it would be to watch, when I finish I’m curious to see other peoples playthroughs 😁
just me with 3 different tattos of Bioshock on my right arm enjoying anything bioshock related. many many bioshock fans have wanted a bioshock film or series but seeing how movies are just TERRIBLE lately, im glad they havent touched this yet. even tho they would make a fortune of it.
Apologies for the extreme lateness to this party! I remember playing the Bioshock games over and over, still finding new things each time! Watching this first video, it's apparent you're really going to enjoy the journey with this game. Thanks for the content, ❤ it!
In 2008, i wasn't a gamer apart from like tetris and crash bandicoot years ealier, I was home sick from work at the factory with chicken pox, I thought stuff it I would kindly buy a xbox 360 for myself, hopefully it can entertain me for 2 weeks, somehow I quickly ended up with bioshock and have played every single player story driven game I could get my hands on since but watching you play this reminds me of the excellence of this game, drip feed loot, intriguing badies and a very good story that makes you think. Bioshock infinite is the same but a little better in my opinion. Bioshock 2 is OK, worth playing. Enjoy
Oh wow what an entry to gaming!! Thanks for sharing the story ☺️ And the heads up on the series - I wondered how they stacked up against each other, but I’ve honestly only ever heard good things about the whole series
@@PhoenixNat But you never went downstairs in the Kashmir Restaurant. It seems to be about a 50/50 chance of a player going downstairs or proceeding through the hole in the bathroom wall. Sadly a lot of players just mindlessly follow the quest arrow and miss so much exploration and gameplay.
So many missed radio messages. I'm not criticizing, in just saying that you missed a lot of the story, most of the story is given to you in the radio messages and in Updates from Atlas
Yeh, was not expecting the game to play how it was or be so intense that quick so I missed a lot at the beginning, later on I make sure to pick it all up

Also, the answer to your question at 1:11:00 is the gene bank. It is shown on the map (you go through the legend at 13:45).
It doesn’t matter 😊

Such a helpful tip - thank you Anurag! ⛑️

Love this series. Looking forward to watching you play through them :)
😍 this is going to be such a trip - thanks for coming along!
13:17 Oh! Oooh! Ahhh.. Ohh! 😂
Enjoy the ride..
This game got me into fps games.
Oh really!! That’s cool. I was happily surprised with how easy it was on controller 😁
im lousy at games, but this game is the easiest of the 3
Such a masterpiece this is. One of the most beautiful games ever made. I hope the Netflix movie will honor its core.
Really hoping they don’t mess it up!!

This Series is going to be fun, that was a great opening! Love the environment and Art Style! 🤗
The music draws you in so much to a false sense of security 😂
Glad you’re enjoying it - think I missed out not living in the 40s-60s 💔
Well done as it is your first go at it!!

Oh really! It’s so damn good - nothing like starting a new series knowing there’s 2 sequels and a 4th game in the making 🤩
@@PhoenixNat I’ve missed that there’s a 4th in the making holy shit :O
Well, it’s from the same team, they announced it at The Game Awards, Judas. Still very limited details on it

Bioshock remastered runs much better on PS4 compared to the busted PC port anyways!
Oh really, is it worse? Glad I went with the PS version then
We love science (:
