I was always a fan of The Four Seasons, and especially this song. It hits that perfect adolescent chord and made this teenage boy dream of singing it to that girl he was too shy to approach. These guys really do the song justice by not trying to do any more to it than what it is; a fun teenage romp. Love it!
I really enjoyed listening to this version than the others. The rhythm is just right. The vocals are really pleasant not too pitchy, and even its musicality can still connect to today's music. I found myself listening to it over and over again. Absolutely nice. Thanks for posting this!
Shooting Party did such a fantastic cover of this great hit by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. This should have been much bigger and would have been if Stock Aitken Waterman and the group were able to release it a few years earlier before the SAW craze started to wind down at the tail end of the 80s. Hopefully, this will get some overdue recognition in playback here and through a growing nostalgia for this great British sound. Great job to Roger "Sprout" Ferris and Gary Strange!
I haven't heard this song in donkeys! Remember listening to it when I was a kid back in the 80s. Brings back lots of memories. Thanks for uploading 😊

I agree but it applies well to middle ages too.
@@stewartmcjinnon6034 It did hit my adolescent chord. It was so my teens. Loved it then and love it now.

Their best tune, they never quiet hit the same heights with their follow up songs
Never heard this version in the states. Well done.

almost 2 years too late but i love it .
It wasn’t a Stock Aitken Waterman record per se. More a PWL record, produced by the ever capable Mixmaster Pete Hammond.
Wish Canada had this import when I dj'd back in the 80s and 90's .....it would have been a great hit on the dancefloor for sure.
Fantastic cover. Well done
Just found this and love it! Are they still around?
Another hidden gem.
Nicest version ever. Remember the 60s
Thank you for posting this video! I remember my adolescence!! My godness!!
GREAT SONG!!!!!😊
I have the 12" . . . Brilliant cover.
Not heard this in yonks had this on 12 inch vinyl still sounds great after all these years
So much fun.Thank you !!
I have the 7" vinyl single of this. Never knew it had a music vid. I don't think it ever aired in Australia.
Music was so nice back then. I think the last decade that produced good music was the 80’s. The 90’s was ok. Today is mostly trash 😂😂😂😂
Great cover!
I just bought their limited edition CD for 60 pounds, well worth it, love them.
Think you were robbed bootleg cd and all tracks are on I tunes
No this is a limited edition on the label, I don't do download, and many others also hate it too, so a cd was released.
@@sofamousithurts4794 There wasn’t an official album ever released. The version you have is most likely to be a Russian or German bootleg.
Great cover version by the SP with Pete Hammond in charge of mixing.
I have the CD single which includes the extended solid gold version!
@@martymcfly5434 me too !
Not only mixing on this, Pete Hammond produced the whole record.
lovin it
SOOO CATCHY :)
Bravo🎶♥️🎷🥁🎺🎸🎶
love the barry manilow version.
I don’t care for that version
Played with Garry in our first group, Obnoxious at 14
Not heard this version before
where are the girls ?
Well they sound like they are the original. Better version of this song than Frankie Valli and the Jersey Boys
❤
They sound great so I don't understand why they need to put a comical flavor in their performance.
You must be joking
