      The truth is, when Russ was added to the Seahawks, it took a lot of defender run pressure off of Lynch, which allowed him to face less obstacles when running with the ball, and finally the much vaunted LOB had a great QB (who is deadly in the 4th qrt) that could cover for their propensity to surrender the lead during 4th quarters. These are just two provable facts, with regard to Russell Wilson being the main reason for the team being a Super Bowl contender, every season. His next record will be when he passes Tom Brady, in becoming the fastest QB to get 100 wins.

    • @gizmoman2388
      @gizmoman2388 5 лет назад

      Sadly his throw velocity is far too slow to be elite as a passer, the ball just takes too long to reach his target (46 MPH @ combine) almost every good QB has 55 MPH or higher @ combine

  • @theebearman

    Damn this kid Watson is good. If i could pick between watson and wilson i think I'd take wilson just because if how clutch he is. I think watson is so good partly because of his coach they had great playcalling all game with tons of recievers wide open. This seatte defense is good and for them to put up 38pts that's crazy. In the end i think it comes down to trust and the texans didn't trust watson on a third down late in the game. The seahawks have always put their trust in wilson even after tons of turnovers. Everyone saying they should have passed on that 3rd down play just think if watson throws a pick or an incompletion everybody would have said ooh you cant throw there you have to just run the ball.

      I'd take Wilson right now * A seahawks fan * but Watson ceiling seems higher to me. That extra height cant be ignored and his ability to consistently hit the receiver is more profound then dang3russ imo. In saying that Russel is my fav QB in the league just due to his tenaciousness when scrambling and the way he runs the football, also cant ignore that sexy deep ball #hawksgoingback #SB

      I feel like they are about the same but Watson has a bigger injury history. Wilson has never missed a game. Watson is what? 6'2" even he cant see over the line. Those guys average around 6'5"

    • @joshuathompson6053
      @joshuathompson6053 7 лет назад +3

      Watson also throws a lot of picks. Even as a rookie Wilson was more careful with the ball.

  • @steptoeedwall2349

    Barring injuries, this NFL season should be stacked with QB's. Let me break down some examples: Ya got ya shoe-in Hall of Famers like Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Big Ben, and Rivers (?). Then you have the established ballers the likes of Russell Wilson, Stafford, Cam, Matt Ryan, and hopefully Andrew Luck. Then you have the younger new-breeds like: Carr, Wentz, Deshaun Watson, Dak, Famous Jameis, Mariota, and maybe even Goff and Garropolo. And there's a few more decent ones out there. I wish life was like the Madden games where you could turn off injuries and let the best of the best work things out on the field.

    When a coach adjust his playing calling to a player’s strengths along with building the skills necessary to improve, that’s coaching. The coaches who do that with their QBs win keep winning. I wish former players like Warren Moon, Randell Cunningham, and Mike Vick played in this era.

    the comparison of that richardson route and throw to the rice TD againts the pats years ago is reaching a bit tho. here the texans safety wasnt beaten by the route at all, he was in the perfect position to defend that throw. it even looked like it might be an INT as russell threw it. he just didnt attack the ball like richardson did.

  • @seanmurphy3329

    Wilson is the sweetness the NFL has been missing since the original SWEETNESS. But i think i prefer to refer to Wilson as LEGENDARY. He will leave a mark on the NFL like Joe Montana did. He's not the fastest he doesnt throw the ball the furthest but what he does do is WIN in critical situations. Its mind blowing what he does no matter which side of the ball your on. Wilson makes it very easy for a football fan to like him. Yes his numbers are great. But what puts him over the top at the end of a game is the fact he is a gentleman that stays humble. That's a terrific quality in a man.
    He will be a hall of famer without question barring serious injury.

    Texans are one of the teams in teh AFC I watch with enthusiasm (am Hawks fan), it sucked to learn Watson was injured a few days after this. Which one Wilson or Watson? Watson can't as his throw velocity is pathetic (46 MPH at combine) and this will just get worse once people get the read on how he plays. This is huge cause the ball takes longer to reach target and thus is easier to stop.
