    Thanks for the detailed review. Just got mine yesterday and will be doing some experiments with this breaking system.
    Great explanation on the system.

    Aurora Air....Aurora is an older reel. Also the Histar GIU is the lightest at 99g

    Was this recorded with the DJI Osmo Action 3? Great quality!

    Is it just me, or did the AE prices on the Aurora Air skyrocket overnight? Not kidding, I had a superdeal one in the cart for 405 SEK free shipping but suddenly it went "unavailable" because the seller can't ship to my country, and now the cheapest listing sells it for 650 SEK + 100 shipping when it was like 450 yesterday...

      Yes, seems seller did something to their listings..

      Same thing here in UK ,guessing all the glowing reviews of the reel have increased demand .. perhaps aw reviews saying it's s**t will bring the prices back down 🤔

      I guess the prices were due for some correction since the bang for the buck was off the charts, just didn't expect the increase to be so sudden and so big... :)

    Hi, would you recommend a rod fitting this reel for throwing smaller minnows and jigs (3-10gr) on bigger river? A travel rod would be the best 🥰 Thnx 🙏

      Yes, it will be fine.

      @@AndrewsKnotsthanks for the feedback. Could you also recommend a rod? I found Purelure Sharpen C684-ML-MF but have no experience with solid tip rods. Would it be a good choice?

    would this be suitable to cast sub 2g lures across a uk canal ?

    • @leftmono1016
      @leftmono1016 3 месяца назад +1

      That would be interesting to know. Pretty easy with a spinning reel, underarm flick would do it.

      @@leftmono1016 yes I already use spinning reel to target Rudd roach and bream etc with lures around 2cm and 1 gram how ever I am looking at bfs options as using such small lures and low diameter braid gives lots of like twist which would not occur with bfs due to the spool being in the same direction as the rod tip. Hope this is explained well enough. 👍🏻

      @@ryansmith2797 - I see what you mean. I’ve only tried a baitcasting reel a couple of times and didn’t like how easy it was to birdsnest.
      Amazes me how the weight of a tiny lure is able to get the spool moving properly. Quite an art to it, guess you need to match the rod to the lure weight more carefully.

      As per casting section, 1.5 g. total weight goes to around 10-13 meters.
