I liked your presentation. I just started teaching on zoom. I'm very computer challenged. I had a video prepared from isl about families. When I shared it, I couldn't see either myself or the student. What do I hit to ensure teacher/student is in mini screen while watching video. Actually not just video. I got some games from 'bamzoozdle',and same thing, when I shared that browser,it took up the whole screen, and couldn't see me or student. I know this is basic for most, but haven't been a big computer person so far
Hi Martin, sorry we have just seen this for some reason. This sounds like what Zoom does when you optimize screen sharing for video clips - you can always untick this in the meeting settings (under ... or More). Another option is to select Advanced when screen sharing, and only share a portion of your screen, and then you and your student should be visible. My last tip is just to accept it and use the chat / voice functions in those bits of the lesson. Good luck and sorry for the late response!
Where is a promised competition in casino mode? Also, I didn't understand how they measure their success - is it a certain maximum amount of money they are trying to reach/win?
Hello - depends on how you set up the game - the way we did it, we were competing against the quiz, or fate if you like :) But you can also put your students into breakout rooms, get them to play the quiz in groups in Casino mode, and the screenshot their final amount :)
Thank you very much!! I'm currently gathering all the apps I'm gonna use for my online tutorings.
The teacher's teacher. Very lovely use of technology and great presentation. Thank you.
Amazing ideas!
