I'm glad you got good footage of this before its retirement. I get the operational reason why they've stopped this (retail and f&b space) but I wish they could have kept the functionality for special events (maybe when opening or reopening after fireworks) but alas. I remember telling my co-workers about this, even the ones who had worked in the 90's didn't remember this. Suddenly, 2020ish, right when I was under the train bridge, I had a perfect view of it going off an working again. The Imagineers had been subtly repairing old effects then but I wasn't aware until that moment. I did notice that different parts of it broke or slowed over time, so I imagine that was also part of why it was officially retired.
I finally have an update on the clock matter, according to Cast Members, the clock doesn't run anymore, and there also appears to be a barrel lock on the front door to keep it locked, and tables have been placed in front of it. The cannons and fireworks remain on the facade but I have not seen them in use. Sad they disabled such a whimsical part of Toontown.
@@CaydensToonTown So much. They went from pie-throwing cartoon spirit to Disney Afternoon Boulevard 2. I went last Christmas and they didn't even have Christmas decorations for any of the new pieces of Toontown so it was only half-decorated. 😢
They definitely did feel slower than they should've been. Multiple parts of the clock needed maintenace. Hopefully when it's back up and running they'll have fixed it up for then. I might add that one to the list later.

It's still at Tokyo Disneyland!
Lets hope when toontown reopens in 2023, they will fix all the mechanisms
Okay, okay.
I think currently those mechs for the mallets and the whistles are not on the clock.

@@VFKAdventureRabbit Honestly, I didn't like the makeover of ToonTown imo. The classic one is better.

0:00 Hmmm...is it just me or do those clock gears sound somewhat familiar?
what happened to the hands? Why are they not spinning???
Why do I hear it’s a small world Paris clock parade?
The trumpeters should come out earlier and faster than they did, too.
