Great story about your girl Afton Dixon, and I never would've guessed you to be in your seventies. Man! Hope I'm having as much fun as you when I hit my seventies:)
Both of our boys were premature.. One 3 lbs 15 ounces & one 3 lbs 9 ounces ...Spent time in the NICU...Now they are 20 and 22 and healthy as a horse. Thank you for this video sir. Touched my heart !
Wow Shawn, I know that must have been a very challenging time in your lives, but so thankful the boys grew up healthy & strong! They will always be our babies to us no doubt. Thank you for taking the time to visit with Tali Girl & me! God Bless!
As always ,first class, when my oldest daughter was born,I was 18 and when I you spoke about the first time you held her in your arms I could see the emotion in your face and it reminded me of the same emotion I had when my daughter was born it is a miracle and thank God for it, thanks a lot bill for the video
They are Jerry, our babies, a very special gift no doubt. And they will always be our babies. thank you for checking in & Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi Bill! I pray you are doing well. Thanks for helping me make up my mind on what is going on the grill! God bless you, my brother from another mother.
Hello Deanna. It's always so sweet to hear from you! Yes, my sweet baby girl Afton is on the mend. Thank you! Thank you always for your support! Have a wonderful & Blessed weekend!
Hey Bill! What a great story and meal. Afton Mountain has a beautiful view of the Rockfish Valley. Most days God makes his presence known when you look out over that valley. What a great looking meal. I will have to try the Dutch oven next time we have Prime Rib camping. I like how it caught the juices and you mixed in the onions and mushroomed. I think I need to head to the mountain to get some Morels now. God bless and thanks for the video!!!
Yes David! Morels are most prolific in the Springtime! I just love them! 'Wish we had them here in the east.Afton Mountain holds a very special place in our hearts no doubt! I have so enjoyed using your knife. Thank you my Brother!
Thank you John! I really do wish I had the time to produce more. As always, thank you so very much for your continued support of our channel! God Bless You Too My Friend!
Thank you so much for visiting Tali Girl and me Jill! I just love Nashville! Opryland Hotel is my favorite hotel in the wide, whole world! God Bless You!
@@PungoPrairie The Hotel is a beauty. I grew up in Eastern TN but, have lived here in Nashville for 36 years. I miss the mountains. May God Bless you as well, Bill.
Hello Bill - Thanks for a great video, I really enjoyed it! I spent yesterday out scouting for new hot tent camp locations, so this was perfectly timed! I have watched your other videos about how to set up a camp and they are great! Nothing better than the smell of the fire and Dutch oven cooking! I want to find out how to make that turkey! Thank you!
Hi Jim! Thank you for checking in. Here is the link to the video where I roasted the turkey over the campfire. ruclips.net/video/JfhJ7Mcu5pQ/видео.html
Cool Bill! I enjoyed the story of your baby girls name (not a baby anymore!) and so glad she was ok from the accident goodness what a huge scare that must’ve been for all of you! I hope this next surgery goes well… the cooking on the fire was awesome! Thank you for an awesome time and enjoyed you at the keyboard and Tali girl at the creek!! 😊🐕♥️🔥
Ida I know how busy farm life can be! Thank you so much for taking time out to visit with Tali Girl & me. I am by no means an accomplished musician like you. I love the piano, and really do wish I knew how to play it. Sometimes I just sit down and make things up. Like this time. It's fun. I enjoy it. God Bless! Have a great weekend!
@@PungoPrairie I hope Afton is doing good after her surgery's now. Gosh to be 34 again. I had my last son gee-whezz, he just turned 30 January 13th. I was in my 40s and my 3rd home birth, had a real good midwife and no drugs. Sure could feel the spirit of the Lord. 🤗 He was born 10yrs and 3 days after my 2cd son birthday Daniel Aaron Sunrise ( means God's judgement on mountain high at sunrise) whom was killed at 14 months. Nothing like having a big hole in your heart ripped out...I thought this must feel like how God felt when his son Jesus died on the cross. It was horrific and when we had to dig our babies grave by hand I cried all the way through it for myself and all the other babies that the settlers lost in the cemetery here. I cried out to the Lord after Daniel and the Lord immediately gave me another son, Nathaniel..Amazing how the Lord works.
@@TheLvablebird I cannot even imagine the pain from losing a child. Having the gift of another son helped to heal your shattered heart but I know, but the scar is still there. Thank you for your sentiments towards Afton. She could use your prayers as come the 28th of this month, she will be undergoing her third surgery to repair her broken ankle which is not healing properly. Thank You!
No Shane. A friend of mine gave that to me. I leave it at my mountain campsite. I have been wanting to get another one for here at home on the Pungo Prairie.
Our son and daughter in law didn't know what they were going to have either. They had a friend keep the letter from their Doctor that had the gender results. They both shoot Sporting Clays. There are clay birds that have blue or pink powder in them. So they had their friend buy the clay birds that related to the gender of their baby. So at the reveal party they propped two clay birds up on two fence posts and they broke the clay birds when they shot at them. Thats how they found out they were having a boy. Harlen named after my father in laws dad. Michael is my middle name. Harlen Michael.
Between medium rare & medium rare rare. I never understood well done too much chewing and flavor been cooked out of it. Never have someone that likes their meat well done cook a med.rare, it will always be overcooked, it's like they can't help themselves.
Medium rare is always my goal Anna. I kinda crashed and burned this time! But still, it wasn't all that bad. Hey! How bad could it be after all? We were in the mountains. If you are blessed enough to be in the mountains? You are blessed enough! Thank you for stopping by to visit us Anna! Great to hear from you!
Anna, I chuckled at ‘they just can’t help themselves’ in over-cooking meat! Many years ago I started letting hubby know when I was putting his meat on the heat so he could take the wheel. Of course i had started mine a good bit before his 🙃… ‘cause I just can’t help myself, ha!
