I am VERY excited to see the direction the industry is taking. If they could make the dethleff model solar rechargeable and come with parking assist and self propelled AND affordable, it would be perfect.
Currently the existing Ev Rv's are just way too expensive with not enough range for me to want to invest in one. But the technology will be promising for sure :) In the future it will likely change.
Don’t want a pop up they have had major mold problems all through history. Love thor b plus just need a fixed bed that is always made. I won’t buy one without that.
These could be the World's Greatest Motorhomes if one common RV problem could be addressed - fuel economy. Gas is expensive nowadays, a common problem with all motorhomes. It would have been nice if an option for an ecoboost engine (17+ mpg), or better yet, a series hybrid diesel electric engine. I'm willing to sacrifice tow capacity for better fuel economy. A series diesel electric system works with a diesel electric generator - tuned for maximum efficiency, and burns maybe two gallons an hour - that provides power for an electric traction motor that moves the RV, and provides power a charge to a battery that produces extra torque when needed. (it could also provide camposite power) BMW and Chevy had similar technonlgy with the i3 and Volt. it could be done on a scale big enough for an RV. Imagine 30+ MPG in an RV!
Build us a Maxus EV80 fully electric campervan just this year. CAMPING in it in klein Finland while writing this. Never having to worry again about eco-zones. It is noiceless, fumeless, warm and brilliant!
Many of us have family all over the country. I drive from Texas to California and back to Florida and back to Texas up to Idaho down to Scottsdale Arazona so really they need a range they don’t have
Hey this is perfect when you run out of charge just retire to the back and have a sleep while it recharges again .Just don't plan on going to the south of France or Spain cos it would take you a couple of months just to get there!
Why Don't any of these campervans, cars, trucks, have a generator, altenator to re charge as you drive. I dont get it. If anyone knows please let me know. Thank you
Most are really cattering for the people who dont go offgrid, just peeps who will go to campgrounds lol. Only Stella Vita showcased massive solar panels.
I love EV RV's. A Electric Drive on a caravan isn't much use. I will help improve range, but you need double charging time. So in the end of doesn't solve the trip time.
@@tk9839 for better cost per km you should drive EV all the way. A hybrid is not a solution. You would need to plug in every 20 miles on such an RV. And on ICE mode they polute more than normal ICE .
without a hydrogen fuel cell or hybrid technology.. I'm not going to take an pure battery electric champer into the woods.. plus the added base weight might push some into another weight class especially when it's loaded with all the food and gear.. range , weight or power its either one or the other that's the trade off with battery electric can't have both
I agree these people are ridiculous I'll buy a house with 100K. Why would people move to motorhomes if they're not more affordable. It defeats the whole purposes of trying to save and live more economically.
Forgot that crap.... If your going down the road with all electric you'll get stranded in the middle of nowhere waiting for solor before you can move in. I.L NEVER BUY ONE
I'm waiting until people start buying them. That's when we will find out for sure how reliable they are on long trips. The voice on this video is not inspiring for sure! I don't trust electric vehicles of any kind.
Yes zero admission, and then you charge it off a coal plant or a nuclear power plant with nuclear waste. How are people going to afford to charge at home when it’s really expensive? The charging eats up more electricity than a home air conditioner
What nuclear waste are you referring to? The spent fuel rods are kept in cask facilities. About 100,000 times more waste daily is produced in junk mail then the annual waste from a nuclear plant.
@@taylormobiledetail Do you know they had a fully electric car in 1909? It had a charging station and everything and went 25 miles an hour. So all these years they never really got that much better

I am surprised he didn't mention the Rivian/Amazon delivery van. If any vehicle deserves to be converted into a camper it's that one...........

most of these rvs are not feasable for the average person, to high priced, to little range and too little space. takes too long to recharge.
