Cole finally looked ready. Those rising fastballs were vintage Cole. God it's good to have Rizzo back -- even if he doesn't hit great at least we have a good defensive 1B again. If we only had a bullpen...
@@anticensorshipsociety1063 No argument from me. Boone holds no one accountable and Hal/Cash don't hold him accountable so we can't demote or fire anyone no matter how badly they perform.
@@DirectionlessStudent I bet 90% of NYY fans knew that game was over when Clay walked in. I'm beginning to hate this manager and front office and it's not healthy.
I mean, credit where credit is due... seems like Gleyber had a fantastic game, Volpe and Verdugo got on base to end up scoring, big G with some tack on runs. This is how they SHOULD be playing.
@@davidellis5141 I'm a Yankees fan but until they prove they can win two games in a row and maybe sweep a series it's hard to take them seriously. The fanbase isn't happy with Cashman.
I’m not gon hold you, The Marlins had me thinking Jazz was overrated or mid at best…he’s been great in the highlight games I’ve gotten to see. He’s talented and he brings a spark to this offense
You did not see a baseball game! All we see on TV these days, except for rare instances is a pitcher, a catcher and an umpire. The ridiculous view we get is a joke. There is absolutely no feeling that you're watching a baseball game when seen only from a center field camera. Baseball games used to be televised from above and behind home plate where the announcers sit, and you could see at least the infielders and the base runners and their tactics. You felt as if you were almost there. Can you imagine the announcers having to broadcast the game from center field and seeing only the pitcher and the catcher? Impossible. But that’s what we’re subject to. Now they have to use icons to show who's on base! It's absurd. It's as if you are watching a video game. I never watch a baseball game on TV when broadcast on YES or any other network because it's not really a baseball game. In football, hockey, basketball, soccer, etc. you always see the field and usually all the players. NOT IN BASEBALL! The televised game now is claustrophobic and suffocating compared to what watching a baseball game should look like. I would never pay to watch a televised baseball game. It's so frustrating. Watch some older games when Mantle, Berra and the like played. You saw the field!! Wow! There's an actual field and NINE players! We are getting cheated. Also, who needs to see all these inane closeups of players in the dugout spitting or closeups of the announcers again and again and again while a player is at bat? Maddening! I'd rather listen to the game on the radio. When I visit a minor league game (The Lakewood Blue Claws) in my county, I am awed and overwhelmed by the spaciousness and beauty of the field, the players movements, the defensive maneuvers, the whole environment. I'm actually watching a baseball game! I've written to the Yankee organization to no avail. Of course, all the teams televise the same absurd way now. Am I the only one who feels this way? If not, please write and complain. You deserve to watch a real and correctly televised game, not this farce which we are subjected to. Such a shame-- a ruination of a beautiful game.
It wasn’t his inning. He came in with someone on and Micheal Kay made a good point, that Holmes threw 8 pitches since last Tuesday, so he wasn’t sharp. They should use him more, so the sinker will have more bite.
I guess you waited all day for this. No excuse tonight. That was all in him. He had no command. Anyway a POS??? This isn’t politics or some evil person. Anyway, put someone else as the closer, and it will be the same result. There aren’t any options for a closer. Everyone is struggling now. If you say they should have traded, there aren’t many great closers. Miller wasn’t available and tanner Scott would have been too much for someone that’s isn’t proven. These guys can close for Oakland and Miami, but NY is different. Even harder didn’t want to pitch here.

Who gives a crap. Clay Holmes will remain closer into the playoffs. They don't care about winning.

Seriously Cashman?! De Los Santos, Effross, Tonkin, Leiter and Holmes but pass on Flaherty. Dodgers say thank you!

Clay Holmes can't throw a clean inning to save his life. If not for Gleyber it might be in extra innings still goiing.
