Tips:
This game is based on lucky but there is things you can do
Try to find a server with smaller ping and smaller amount of players.
Smaller ping will help you win duels.
Smaller amount of player mutiply your chances to become the winner.
Do not be aggressive on early stages of the run, it might help you later.
It's most likely if you hurt someone or their friends they will try to hurt you back

Some further tips I can add:
Train reaction time for duels if you really want to react faster and win more.
Always try to make friends with others at the start of the games and always be passive.
You can attempt to create a respectful image of yourself by doing things like "praying for the dead" but you will need attention for this and it sometimes backfires.
Do not kill anyone if you are chosen as the murderer as this will also certainly guarantee your death by others.
You can do the /e dance2 glitch at the glass surgery area (opposite the big red brick screen) at the glass and phase through during murderer rounds. You can also do this for timebomb rounds but make sure you are not the person with the bomb first.
Crouch during dropper rounds to show "respect" to the chooser. This will decrease your chances of getting picked.
During Simon Says rounds, stop the action when the speech bubble disappears. This is because an opposite of that action could happen after and it will register as you doing it and you will die. (Eg. Simon says jump -> jump (no simon says))
You can zoom in with the guns by holding the right click during showdown.
Use a less flashy/creepy/intimidating avatar as this will make you less of a target.

Dude I've never won a duel due to the opponent clicking as soon as the light turns green I even have a video which the opponent fired a split second the light turned green for me,duel is a bs game for the "fairness" it has compared to other modes

For some reason my answer for your question haven’t been sent so I will write a new one with the same idea. I have tips about how to win duel, but not clicking faster. I have described ping thing and it matters so much because it’s delay when you send information to server and server sends you information back. The thing you can do is be friendly with other players, so you could betray them after. I’ve met cases when people haven’t wanted to kill or just give up before it’s shooting time, so you may say something like “I’ve never lost any duels before”. Sounds unreal tho but it might work 20/80
