A friend of mine posted osomatsu pictures on her story on instagram and i remembered seeing them around on social media sometimes, and I always thought they looked like noby from doraemon. Then, earlier this year, I watched the first season with captions, and tracked down the english dub on bluray and got into it. And it sucks there's no news of a season 4, nor an english dub of season 3 and the movies. Not to mention the death of billy kametz who voiced osomatsu, so who knows who will voice him in english. And it's also worth mentioning that ray chase who plays karamatsu voiced cyclops for xmen 97, kyle mccarley who voices icchimatsu also voiced tadano from komi can't communicate and mob from mob psycho 100, and michael sinterniklas who voices jyushimatsu was also the voice of 2003 Leonardo, and karino from kotaro lives alone. I love the dub to this show and Billy Kametz didn’t an awesome job as Osomatsu,I love most of the shows that Billy’s been in and it was obviously really sad to hear about him passing away.

Also yay, Tougou mention!. Never had people outside of my circles mention him, which is understandable given how obscure and how dark of a character he is. I remember I got into osomatsu san in 2019, It was the summer of 5th grade and I was looking for animes on my xbox when I saw it. Osomatsu san has changed the way I act ever since.
It's been a while since I've been in the Osomatsu-san fandom (despite my icon here lmao), but man you describing all of this and your giggles throughout the video took me back to the way I used to feel about it. I should do a rewatch sometime :')
For me the reason why this show worked so well with the female audience is that it appeal to the two main type of girls in a fandom: The ''I can fix him'' girls and the ''I can make him worse'' girls. Somehow, the Matsuno brother fits the stereotype that appeal to both.
Great video! Currently rewatching it and I think it may be my favourite anime ever! I've been a huge Fujio Akatsuka fan since I first came across his artwork years before Osomatsu-san came out, but there was very little of his stuff available not in japanese back then, so when this anime came out, it was like a dream cone true, and way better than what I expected. My favourite character is probably Chibita.
Funnily enough, I watched the series in Japanese and found it to be 10x better than the English. I tried to get my girlfriend to watch it and she put on the English. Neither of us laughed the whole time, and I felt the need to apologize to her because i was cringing. Im going to try again at some point because I love the show. I still have a shelf and a half dedicated to Osomatsu-San in our house! Also Kara and Ichi supremacy, they've always been my faves.

I watched this anime when I was 12 back in 2017, 13 when season 2 came out, this anime had an IMPACT ON ME! I was too young to be watching a family guy anime… Anyways my favorite characters were Karamatsu and Ichimatsu…, I would make fan-art and videos about the brothers, I had a small collection of osomatsu merch. I feel like the fandom kinda died when season 3 ended, the osomatsu accounts I was following stopped posting, I didn’t watch the recent two movies until this year, I haven’t seen the live action yet. I’m 20 now and it’s kind of scary how I’m around the brothers age, I kind of see them as sanrio characters now, I still like the show but I’m not crazy about it anymore
My favorite anime, i swear to god 😭 all 6 of them reminds me so much of myself because I believe i have all 6 of the brothers personalities. I watch osomatsu kun from 88 out of order and ive probably seen 40 of the 86 episodes already. Its so good and every episode is vastly different. Iyami barely ever gets out okay. Watch the episode where the matsuno's father tries to quit smoking. It involves iyami and chibita tryna scam them

This show has more brain rot than any current brain rot could ever compare. However, this show has a special place in my heart and Osomatsu is oddly my favorite one despite him being the “blandest” one. He likes being seen as the leader, but he has no leadership qualities whatsoever and not really that respected either. I love the episodes that focus on his character bc despite being kinda the worst, I like that he’s the main one that admits that he is the worst. I feel like the rest try to deny it or hide in a way (Jushimatsu is an exception since he’s kinda not very conscious (???) and is more of an entity (very silly), but Osomatsu kinda embraces being a NEET and a loser. That man has NO shame and his attachment to his family can be kinda endearing. Not to mention his relationship with Nyan later down the line. This show is just so fun and it’s oddly comforting. Obviously you probably shouldn’t be like most of the characters, but it kinda humanizes the negative aspects that people have in a fun and comedic way. It’s a fun satire, and it can get into issues in an oddly deep manner sometimes. I remember tearing up on the second to last episode of the first season, but then the last episode goes back to the regular unhinged humor that you are used to seeing.
