I remember recording this afted school, fall of 1988. I was running outta VHS tape, so I kept pausing it to get to the end. Now I can see the whole the whole thing. When I would watch Cher on TV, I went into a daze, so I HAD to record. Thanks so much!
You know, Cher has said the greatest love of her life was Rob, not Sonny. She said her and Rob just worked, and he really understood her. But he was just a regular person, not used to celebrity and didn’t want to be a celebrity. Very Sad that the constant hounding and media intrusion ultimately split them up.
Cher will tell you that the movie that gave her the drive to act was "Come Back from the Five and Dime," and she thanked Robert Altman even when she was accepting an award for another director's movie. Whatever. I've been crazy for her since the sixties. She always manages to show us a good time.
Nope. Sonny and Cher remained close forever after their divorce...both of them would and could tell you that, especially through books and all their interviews...now the opposite could be said about Sonny being bitter, Cher wasn't always very nice to him herself. And she's pointed out several times that through the roughest times in her life, he was the one she would always call for advice friendship and warmth. Sonny was her mentor, so she'll always owe him credit for that...she flounderedtho
Love Cher today at 76 in 2022 she has had a remarkable career and came out on top congratulations to to her from poor beginnings to an established super star ⭐️ love you Cher 😎🇦🇺❤️
Simonne yeah. She has said he was actually very, very controlling and would become enraged if she didn’t do exactly what he said exactly when he said it. I believe it because look how young she was when they got together. She was a kid he could control. Also, she’s said he seemed all nice on tv but really he wasn’t very nice at all, had a horrible temper, and he was very feared by everyone; people were actually afraid of him. Leaving him must have been a blow to his control issues. Also when they split up, he didn’t have that cash cow anymore and it became very apparent that Cher was really the one with all the artistic talent. Smartly, instead of a solo career, he went into politics instead. But I think this was before he did that so you can really hear the bitterness and anger.
Yep he was a control freak - the hardest thing she ever did was leave him - for her career it was the best thing to do and also for her sanity- 2022 today and this year she was 76 - still doing things in the public eye she has been remarkable- love her - ❤️😎🇦🇺
Plastic surgery! why not she can get away with it cause she is talented, courageous and everlasting she turned 76 this year 2022 and is still going strong ❤️ we love her 😎🇦🇺
I don't care what she does or doesn't do; or what contemporaries think of her; She is fantastic!.
I always thought Cher was going to be a success and she still is, you go girl!!❣

and Cher wound up international star...Sonny was thrilled for her. Not all divorced couples are bitter.
Without Sonny there would be no Cher.

Valérie Allain & Virginie Contesse were meagerly paid to act sisterly toward one another.
Is it me or does Sonny sound extremely bitter/negative ? He's not exactly irreproachable.
