Do you always put your moisture pads on in that orientation or just a mistake?

We always put them on 90 degrees to John Deere. About half of the aussie industry do it that way. They need a lot less cleaning.

Interesting, we had a American guy years ago tell us a lot of the guys over there do the same, we tried it and had troubles with sap buildup on the spindles. Maybe I should try it again.

Enjoy the info in your vids, I have a non-important question why do you run the handrails in the up position on top of the accumulator or basket?

It's how we'd always done it but we're changing to always down after talking to lots of other growers last year, mainly for powerlines. It's a good idea to keep them down.

Well I'm 51 and farm in Northwest Alabama and all my life I've seen pictures even back on 2 row machines the handrails was always up on machines in Australia just always wondered, thought it might collect less cotton and trash on top.

@@bigroybr69 the first machines we had with handrails were 9960s and leaving them down made the roof harder to clean so we just got in the habit of leaving them up. Have you got Cotton this year?

I totally understand and yes we have 1400 acres of cotton this year and we run 2 JD 7760's and everything we've picked so far has been just a little over 2 bales per acre or 1200lbs per acre I know that's quite lower than you guys are used to but it's an above average year for us and it's dry land cotton.

@@bigroybr69 that's awesome for dryland. That's a great result, it's not often even the best districts can achieve that in Australia. Good luck for a safe picking!
