Very helpful. A reminder for other users: the folder can only contain the files that you want to combine. All unrelated files should be removed, including those in sub-folders; otherwise, the combination will be failed.

What about if you want to do a merge of multiple files but then keep the source file worksheets in separate worksheets on the target (merge) file, can this be done with the merge tool (or do you have to write a VBA code macro) ? I am working with multiple files so doing a Macro wizard is not something I want to do (but I guess if the Merge tool will not work in this case, I will have to research how to do this in VBA in the Code Editor).

Each time when we are changing the data in these files same thing is updating in master file. It is simply over writing the same. Is there any option so that we can add on the change instead of overwriting.

Can't believe how difficult it is to find a tutorial on how to combine different sheets into one workbook - one that actually works. This isn't it.
Yeah browsing to the file folder shows and empty folder.
This is extracting excel file into one excel , not excel sheets. Maybe if you knew how to search properly you’d get the right video

Did you manage to solve you issue here? If not the problem is with your sheet names. You need to name them the same. from both or all files.
