Hopefully the new administration will get rid of all the processed ingredients in our food and will start holding FDA accountable for all the junk they approve.
If you need to take a break, do so! You have to take care of you! On the other hand...😭😭😭 I would really miss you! You have brought so much into my life. Not just recipes, but a kinmanship and validation for the way I have cooked for the last 35 years. Your insight and knowledge of GI and immunity/autoimmune issues has helped me so much! THANK YOU! Most importantly, you have helped me return to my Catholic faith. Keep your chin up!
I greatly enjoy your videos even if there aren't new recipes! You inspire me to feed my family better and have sent me on a journey of discovering the evils of the food industry. Thank you for opening my eyes!
Just made pasta last week with freshly milk flour. It was my first time. The dish was so filling. By the way, I would watch you just talk and fold your laundry. No need to feel like you have to make elaborate curated videos.
I'm a new subscriber- about 2 weeks now. I found you with the thrift haul and the wallpaper one. So, IDK you in any 'other' season. Lol. And you seem pretty creative to me! 9/10- I guess it's all in your perspective, and a day-to-day thing that only you can feel. You're so right about 'the seasons of life' though. I always expected to have little ones, and it would be the Happiest Season! But it wasn't. It was a big season of loss on top of a ton of busy little responsibilities. Just breathing, walking and enjoying the tiny previously meaningless day-to-day work got me through. No one can really understand the ups and downs from the inside, but accepting others, working to improve and serving our family with love are the smallest Important things ; )
So glad you made this video!! I preach about food to everyone and have totally changed my families diet. I have been watching your content for a year+ now. I had no idea you lived in Missouri until recently. We just sold everything and moved to south east Missouri in April. We are currently living in a camper with our two kids while we build our barndo style home by hand ourselves. Not sure how far you are from Naylor Missouri but if your interested in a fellow homeschool, homestead, Christian mama friend im here. It's hard finding like minded friends. I just find most woman get offended and defensive toward this way of living I usually open my mouth and offend someone 🤣. When you talked about offending people in your contraception topic I definitely giggled as it's so true. Most people don't want to hear truth. Grateful for your channel.
You have to do what's best for you and your family of course but I personally would truly miss your videos if you paused. I learn so much from you on a regular basis. Not just homemaking but in faith as well and homeschooling...just how to be a good homemaker in this modern world and get back to the root of a better way of living. Thank you again for another great video!
I have the Wondermill Junior Delux hand mill and I love it. It is definitely a work out but I count that as a plus since I need the work out haha It comes with stone and steel burrs so you can change them out and do dry grains or you can do wet also and make masa and such. Really great product though with great reviews. Got mine brand new off of FB marketplace for $150 and it’s great. I do want to get an electric mill when we can afford it though just so I don’t ALWAYS have to have the workout every time I want to do freshly milled grain. Just makes it so I don’t always have the time to go fresh and I use store bought whole wheat instead :/
I got the electronic wondermill but I want to get the red hand crank one for emergencies and let's be honest, for the kids 😂 The electronic one and hand crank one are same price on Bread Beckers
Thank you for always showing up no matter what season of life you’re in. Love your wisdom and commentary on all things homemaking, motherhood, life and your opinions! All the little things, make a big difference and truly help me in so many ways. Just love you mama! ❤
Living by myself I have not yet invested in any mill or special blenders or mixers. I have Cuisinart blender from my wedding in 1994 and a hand and stand mixer from Hamilton Beach way cheaper than the mixers you all use on YT for videos. They work fine for me. I am partial to egg noodles and just buy the store bought dried wide egg noodles for any pasta or soup I make. Maybe someday I will invest in a grain mill and that Bosch mixer.
If you've never had fresh milled flour the taste will blow you away. Storebought flour taste like cardboard to us now. Tasting food the way God intended. So much better for us and delicious❤
Steph, I’m currently making your Pullman loaf with fresh hard white wheat! I got a Pullman pan and a nutrimill for Christmas! (Just a heads up your grams and metric measurements for the non sourdough version don’t match)
After I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 25, I changed the way I live. I have been swapping out things 1 by 1 & making my own for most. I’m a Christian and know that there is a responsibility for me to treat my life well- I’m 28, living in a small 50’s home in Clackamas OR and we’re trying to make a life like this happen. We’d like to adopt, I’ll homeschool, and I will grow and make my own food. I do what I can now, where I’m at. But I watch you and your life and it’s inspiring. I have the same beliefs on the things shared on your RUclips channel and so it’s obviously a non-negotiable. I just feel like I’m waiting- waiting on money to buy a home, waiting on money to adopt a child, money really is hindering us. But God will lead & he will provide. ❤️🙌🏻
It’s not capitalism as a whole. There’s a difference between free market capitalism (which is great and what we used to have) and corporate capitalism (which is what we currently have and is extremely corrupt.) But I love the rest of this video and all the information! ☺️
I will miss you if you take a break, but I understand. I have learned so much from you and wish you the best of luck. I am subscribed so I know when you will return.
I if I don’t have starter or discard do I just leave that out of a recipe. If not what can I use as a replacement , also I love watching you cook, decorate and thrift shop, if we get recipes bonus but changes like this really inspire me and get me up cooking from scratch, making my house a home and living a great life based on wholesome things, thank you.
you have been more encouraging to me in this difficult season, because i have been struggling with similar health issues. this has been one of my few go-to spots for refreshing why i need to stay on track. thank you for vulnerability and sharing knowledge!
Lovely video. I will be trying this. I have a manual grainmaker 99 mill. It is beautiful and heirloom quality and I would recommend it. But it is hard work to hand mill, and I don't have a sufficient place to attach it in my kitchen so it doesn't get used as it should. Hopefully I can rectify that this next year and work on my arm muscles.
I just received my first grain mill for Christmas! I am not currently consuming grains and am walking through the beginning of the Super Gut healing process. Which grain would you recommend for the best health benefits for my family? Also, where did you order your Super Gut yogurt cultures from? Any other advice on great sources to obtain items needed for healing the gut microbiome when living in an area where people aren’t super concerned about supplying gut healthy ingredients?
Hope yours was a Blessed Christmas. Time to enjoy some quiet b4 the New Year brings about new escapades. Always good to think about those "worst case scenarios. It's not so bad if it really does occur. Just like those "dry runs" pregnant parents did. Helps prevent panic and aids in problem solving. Happy New Year 🎉 also
Take a break if you need to. Everyone deserves one. However, I appreciate your thoughts, ideas, & recipes. I found your channel through looking at Azure hauls. I can’t wait to try your pasta recipe!

I some how convinced my husband to buy the fancy pants manual grain mill in 2020. lol. I still can’t believe it. It’s been a wild 4 years. He totally thinks I’m crazy. (Not really but I wonder sometimes) I use my electric one but I have a manual one for the the end of h the world. 😂
