Dude, I could not for the life of me figure out how to adjust the background image once it was snapped as the background. Double-click. Thank you so much.
What Im trying to do is change the overall tone of the background photo. I know its possible because templates have it. When you use an image as a background, sometimes its too busy and makes it hard to read text. I want to put a grey overtone on the image to make it easier to read text. Every time i try to change the colour of the image it just deletes the image and changes the background colour.
This is what I'm trying to do. I have a background image of a piece of colored paper. I'm trying to change the color to match my branding. It doesn't seem possible to change it the way you can change other elements. The only "color change" option I see is to click "Edit image" then use Duotone or Color Mix. However, neither of these gives me the color I'm looking for. Pixel & Bracket, Is there any way to change the color of a background IMAGE in Canva?
Its not working for me. Im trying to change the background on my current design. I did the steps that you show. When I drag the new background to the design, the words disappear.
it's possible that the words were in the background. also possible that your photo didn't snap to the background and it's actually on top of your text elements. just right-click the photo and select "Replace Background" or "Send to Back"
Literally don't see any option for background color. The default for new document only shows options to change text color. Cannot click the document itself for color options. Outdated and obsolete video
Yeah I've got the same issue. Clicking the background does nothing. Edit: Figured it out. If you want to be able to edit the background, DO NOT use a blank "document". For some reason blank documents only allow you to add and edit text. If you want a landscape document you can add backgrounds to I found "poster" or "book cover" works fine.
These instructions don’t work on the app. Wish you had put this was a desktop tutorial, in the header. Also, it would be great if you could just show what to do, without so many details. Just when I start understanding what you’re saying you go off on this tangent about all these other options and I don’t know what the original point was, anymore. When you don’t know what you’re doing, way too much information coming at you at one time is overwhelming. This caused more problems for me than I had before I started-frustrating.

it's only letting me type?
EXACTLY! It lets you adjust the TEXT, but no background color option! So frustrating!
Well that didn't work
Super helpful, thank you!

Thanks, dude. 30 seconds and I understood :)
Yey thank you. I got it.
Just wow. Made my day.
Thank you it worked just as you said 🤗🥰
Thank you
How does one change the photo's colors though. Say you wanted to switch the red from the photo to a green as an example?
Like the green trees to purple trees, is that possible on Canva
