Congratulations Greg! I know that's been in the works for a while for you!! Very well priced too! Now I need to get another Weber!
I got mine and am very excited. Can you do a video on what is the best way to clean and store a griddle. I want to keep it for a long time.
Greg. I just bought one of these. Fits right on my big green egg xl perfectly. I have to say it is the best BBQ accessory I have ever bought. Seriously! I hardly ever used to cook burgers due to being disappointed with the result. This griddle transforms the flavours of the burger. Unbelievable. I'll be wowing my family and friends for years to come with awesome burgers. Thanks very much for turning out a great product.
I can attest to how awesome these griddles are! I have a original that Greg paid to have fabricated, and I won from a Ballistic BBQ contest almost 3 years ago. Awesome Greg! I know where to send people when they ask where to get one :)
Hoping that eventually we'll have sizing options? I use an 18" BGE .. would be an awesome addition.
Thanks for making this available Greg. It'll be the next addition to my collection and my 4th flat top. I have two Mojoe Griddles (the first warped on me but still works great, and I was sent a brand new one free of charge by Cam) along with my Blackstone griddle, but I think having this thing in my kettle all the time is very much warranted.
I wish I could get one of the nickel plated ones, but I'm just happy that a product similar to it now exists. Thanks again for the hard word and dedication you put into this channel.
Hey Greg, I just bought the griddle a few weeks ago and I love it. My only problem is the first time I tried it I burned the hell out of my burgers, the second time I pushed the coals away from under it and didn't get a good crust. I am thinking next time maybe half a chimney and place under it but not tight to the back so that the grease won't catch fire.
Wow, Great timing with winter going away and grills comming out of storage. I'll wait patiently for the 26.75" version, hopefully in the next few months. Our cast iron grate has been doing a wonderful job and this will just top it off. 😋
Greg, this is one of the most exciting kettle mods I've seen in a long time. I am STOKED for you brother! I'm gonna have to get my hands on one and put it to work!
Just bought one, looking forward to using it! I usually go cast iron pan for first side, grill grates for second side while I melt the cheese. This will be even better I'm sure!
+Ballistic BBQ how many coals do you use under the flattop? I used an entire chimney starter and it was super hot, probably too hot. I'm guessing maybe 2/3 full next time, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks.
Nice thing you Greg bug have but have you ever tried making steak or burgers on flat side of grillgrates? You get excellent crust and as a bonus extra flavor because of drippings hitting fire but same time meat is well protected from burning. It won't just burnt.
Congrats, Greg! That is a caramelization machine, love it!
+BBQGuys.com Thank you Tony!
I've got a Flat top Griddle & love it. You can do so many things on them.
Greg, I ordered the Craycort yesterday and I'm ordering this right now. Thank you so much for putting this out. I can't wait to use it.
Thanks for creating this product. Will U be making one the Weber 26 inch Kettle grill?
My gas grill just went on me, and I was thinking about picking up a Weber charcoal grill. I think this attachment sealed my decision on going for the charcoal!
+MrColtsFan74 You're going to dig it!
I just found your videos earlier today and I have to say this is great stuff. Very informative, in-depth, and enthusiastic without being overbearingly so like some of the other big cooking channels. Keep up the good work and good luck with your businesses.
+Vesciroth Thank you very much! Appreciate the kind words!
Big Congrats Greg.........I hope you sale a million of those awesome griddles.
I'm gonna be honest. I was expecting a goofy price tag. That is very reasonable and in my opinion priced correct. I will be considering this for sure. I've hardly used flat tops so if you can link me a starter guide of yours on setting up the cook I'd appreciate it.
So happy with mine, please can you do a care video and actually show the charcoal set up? Thanks
Congratulations Greg! I came here from Tango - (via Facebook)...... That thing is a BEAST. So was the burger. off-set double burger..... simple and to the point! KICK ASS.
Now this is a great addition to ever grillers arsenal.
This looks darn well made Greg.
Congratulations on this super product, well thought out in every aspect! I like how this will fit right on my Craycort cast iron.
Bravo!
Nailed it once again. I ordered it as soon as I saw it because it was from Greg and Craycort. You have a lot of posts to answer. Get to work. Also, what is the best way to clean it? Thanks Greg. I just got a craving for a In and Out Burger.
+Joe Roger Thank you Joe!
Congrats Greg , best of luck with the new grill top , Cheers ....!!!
+bowhunter2439 Thank you Charlie!
Congratulations Greg. Awesome product and great looking burger!!!
Congratulations Greg on this fantastic endeavor, wishing you all the success in the world my friend. Great cooktop and great price too.
I purchased one of these Ballistic Griddles for my kettle grill and I have used it all summer. It makes the best smash hamburgers!!! and it's great for steaks too!!! They turn out like Ruth's Chris. Thank-you!!!
I guess if you cut one of the "hinge holders"on the stock Weber grate you could leave the lip "on" as well?
Hi fab product and I want it for my BBQ business- I am big fan of ballistic bbq and admirer your work and teachings ! I have one question re griddle BBQ - how does the BBQ effect play in terms of flavour from coals if using a griddle - i.e. Is it same as gas griddle and how best to get real BBQ flavour into your food ?
Hey Greg I just saw the first batch was sold out . I just placed an order for the 22.5" Ballistic Griddle :-) Total price was just around $ 90.00, well worth the purchase :-) I know it is through Craycort but do you know how long the back order will be before I receive it? I can't wait :-) I will be PROUD to be an owner of The Ballistic Griddle :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
How has it held up after cooking on it for 2 or 3 years? any warping?
Nice accessory. I'm buying one. Thank you for spending the time and money to bring this to market. Wishing you the best of luck.
Awesome news Greg, Do you ship to Europe? Apologies if question has already been answered?
Its a beat!! Congratulations Brother! I know where to go for that major upgrade!! soon.
That looks very cool Greg. Very nice
I have this griddle and the burger smasher and I have to say that I already make a badass burger, but these additions stepped it up a notch. Very pleased
Be nice if we could buy your smasher as an add on with the flat top purchase! I can't wait until my BBQ wish list gets to this griddle.
Thanks Greg I've been waiting for this for years lol been watching your channel for 3 years now. In that time I got myself a webber, the craycort cast iron grates & the flat griddle insert. Now definitely getting myself one of those hope they ship to the UK lol good luck & thanks again.
Great addition to the Weber Kettle! A cast iron version would be great. Keep up the great videos!
Wonderful piece and wonderful price! Did you pur it on the cast iron grid or the bottom part is empty?
your passion for burgers is awesome... Greg, your my kinda guy!
Congrats Greg. Found your channel long time ago with your carne asada video. Been following your journey ever since.
good luck with your flat grill bro!
I'm a bit confused. You specify in the video that the griddle is .250 (1/4) thick and not the 3/16" you have been using, however, the link you supply says it's the 3/16 thick griddle. "Ballistic BBQ and Craycort have teamed up to bring you the Ballistic Griddle! Stainless steel, 22.5" half circle, 3/16" thick with brim." I would not want a 3/16" SS griddle on my grill because it would certainly warp from the heat. Can you direct people to the 1/4" 22.5" version you are talking about in the video?
awesome Greg! that thing looks like a really nice cooking surface!
+White Thunder BBQ It really is... Actually like it better than my original.
This is a big win for everyone who grills Greg! Very proud of what you have achieved here! Only $69 .... Woziers! Such a great deal!
+Cooking Outdoors Where have you been Gary...I miss your cooking outdoors videos.
+Jax BBQPit I am still around :-) Trying to get back into the video game, soon I hope.
Congratulations, great product. I hope you sell many of them!
Congratulations Greg, isn't it great when an Idea one has comes to fruition? The very best with your new partnership and I know this will be an instant hit. BTW, the whole first batch is sold out, it'll have to be pre-ordered. Such a nice problem to have.
Fantastic product Greg, can't wait to get mine...when are you going to market that knockoff smash burger tool?
Super looking griddle. Looks like a must have!
+BarbecueTricks Thanks Bill. It's really fun to cook on brother!
Mine is on its way, what is the best way to clean it please Greg?
I absolutely cannot wait to buy these grates and flat top. Will definitely being investing soon.
I just ordered a ballistic griddle for my 22.5" Weber. Do all new orders come with with your new heavy duty ¼" stainless steel griddle? Not the old 3/16ths"?
Amazing! This summer is going to be a game changer. Definitely ordering multiple for myself and a few other bbq fanatics!
My ballistic griddle showed up yesterday. I can't wait to use it. Thanks!!
Wow, that's a good one. I would love to get one of those
+heghineh Thanks! They're a lot of fun!
Congrats on the product launch! any chance you'll make a rectangular version for folks that don't have a round grill?
+Breon Nagy Plans are in the works. Want to see how this version does and it seems to be doing well.
Hey Greg, love your channel, and I love your griddle! What kind of care does the griddle need, and how should I go about cleaning it?
That is an awesome accessory for the grill by the way I'm gonna be getting a 5-6ft grill do you know if they have a griddle for a grill that size
Great looking griddle, I live the removable sides
+Southern Coastal Cooking ™ They sides really make a difference on this new griddle. Thanks!
Congrats Greg! Looks like an awesome product!
+Jeremiah Johnson Thank Jeremiah!
Very cool and congrats Greg!
Congrats Greg. I'll buy one as soon as I buy a Weber grill.
+Sylvia Love Thank you Sylvia!
Great addition to the Weber, Well made and works great.. Glad I purchased one
Congrats Greg, awesome looking griddle. I can tell that is going to be a great grilling surface for the old 22" kettles. looks so good I might just have to buy 2. the burgers looked great but this early in the morning I'm thinking pancakes on the flat top, with some pork belly.
Congrats! Looks awesome and I will be looking to pick one up when I get my Weber Performer Series this summer! If you have a chance and a local Whole Foods Market you should check out their Superior Burger patty if they carry it. it comes from the Superior Colorado store, and it's a blend of Ribeye, Brisket and Short Ribs. it's amazing with a little Salt and Pepper, and cooked in a cast iron skillet just like your smashburger with the butter. Ever since I saw your smashburger video i have added that, a soapstone press and the slick spatchula to my tool set... My wife thanks you for that!
Unfortunately no shipping to the Netherlands... good Lucky with a great product!!
Looks great Greg. Congratulations on a awesome product
ok Greg why didn't you use the new and improved smash tool from craycott ?
Great looking griddle and the burgers even better!! Thanks for sharing your invention with us.
+Rick Short Thank you Rick!
looks interesting. What's the difference between using a cast iron skillet versus your contraption? thx
+cosmophonic12 Doesn't slide around like a skillet, a lot of surface area, yet half the grate to fry, grill, toast etc. And looks pretty cool too!
your price is super reasonable. I made a flat top for my Yoder and it was $75 for a simple rectangular plate.
Awesome! Congrats on the launch! Sold out already, nice. I wish you much success.
+snookie65 Yeah... New batch is on its way. Did not expect to sell the first batch off so soon!
Are you going to market the paddy smasher? I make smash burgers all the time on my Blackstone but use a bacon press. Would love to have something that would gives me a uniform thickness on all the patties.
Hey Greg, avid viewer from the UK here. Will these ever be available over the pond? We have a version with handles but it doesn't look as thick. I look forward to hearing from you. J
Like everyone else, I've been waiting for one of these griddles forever! Just ordered one and can't wait for it to arrive. Thanks for all the great videos.
+Tom Evans Thank you Tom!
Can you provide information on your famous "smasher?" Where can we get one?
They haven't hit the market just yet. We have a stainless steel prototype and it looks like we will go into production soon. I will make a video to announce this.
Cheers Tom!
@@BallisticBBQ how can I get one of your griddles
This is awesome Greg. You must be so stoked. Congrats!
+Keith Doran STOKED! Thanks Keith!
Echoing the most recent comment, will you be coming out with a burger smasher? I've been looking for one for a while. Williams Sonoma made a nice one, but it has been discontinued.
Congrats Greg! Looks pretty darn KILLER hehe
Greg, Can your "Smasher" be purchased? Just placed my order for the Griddle, even though it's currently backordered. Thanks for the fine videos you post.
+Gary Nessel Not yet, but is already in the works.
+Ballistic BBQ Can't wait, Thanks Greg👍
hey Greg I see now that Craycort has a 18.5 ballistc griddle. Do you know how it fits just into one of the three spots on the 18.5 ring. They don't have a picture of it on the page.. Thanks love all your videos especially the Korean stuff. Do you shop at Zion market up in Claremont Mesa?
Excellent! Great job Greg!
+KIRBBQ Thank you Kirby!
Questions could you make a video for beginners how to set up the grill for charcoal great video but I don't know how to set up the grill for indirect cooking thank you
Congratulations Greg on your Ballistic Griddle my friend. Cheers! Alan
Hi do you ship to England? I have 57" weber one touch.Fantastic recipes and videos, keep them coming! Thanks...
Just got the griddle, do you take the 1/44 sections of the Craycort out from underneath the griddle or just leave them? (it cam with zero paperwork). Please advise, Thanks!
Do you still get the great charcoal taste when using the flattop?
you guys should make a full version as well. i could buy 2 i suppose but then id have a crack down the middle where juices/oil could run out
probably wouldn't have air flow
Looks like I'll be getting one of the second run -can't wait!
+John Kimbler Thanks John. Yeah... The first run went fast!
Nice item for sure Greg. I have seen people asking about a 26" version in the comments here but no responses to it. Are us 26" grillers SOL?
3yrs later and it seems we are SOL
Cheaper than a gas flattop griddle, but probably gives food a better flavor with the charcoal. However, it is very small. You could do 50 smash burgers on a full-size flat top.
Hey Greg! I am new and excited to get stuck into bbq and was really hoping i could have a similar set up you have. But unfortunately the ballistic griddle cant be shipped to Australia! Is there any suggestions you have or advice on what else is out there thats similar??
Great item and I'm thinking about ordering one. I am wondering if this griddle is made in the USA and are the new ones 1/4" thick vs. the 3/16" advertised on Craycort's website? Love your channel Greg.
Referring to the ballistic . please advise the weight. I need one to be shipped to Athens, Greece. I would appreciate your reply soon.
Congratulations Greg!!! If I had a Weber kettle, I'd sure be getting one of those griddles along with the Craycort grills. Great looking burger too brother!!!
+T-ROY COOKS Thank you Troy!
Scooping up one of these when I get my Weber someday soon!Happy to hear they ship to Canada
Congrats Greg on the Griddle! It's nicely priced also. Made a great looking burger! Have a nice day :)
congs Greg good product looking for more applications for that pice
+Alaawy Alm Basically anything that you would use a skillet for. Thanks!
Picked one up. Seems like a success as I'll probably receive mine mid May... :)
+Pete Onsholm Yeah... The first batch went away way faster than expected. Thank you Pete!
I found mine got too hot, how much charcoal would you suggest I add?
