In this video we can see what Edenville Dam looks like now after the interim repairs have been completed. The Edenville Dam is located on what used to be Wixom Lake. Wixom Lake is located in Mid Michigan. This footage was filmed on July 6, 2022. This was after the collapse of the Edenville Dam on May 19, 2020. Wixom Lake was rapidly rising due to heavy rainfall and the Edenville dam could not hold back the water. The side of the dam failed sending water rushing towards Sanford Village. The aftermath and damage left behind is devastating. Make sure you subscribe to catch the follow up videos I will be filming.

I have not visited in quite some time. MY bad. I have missed some really great reporting. Your technique and delivery has constantly improved. YOU are THE top reporter in the business. It is easy to tell you are NOT corporate sponsored or network driven. You are too good for that. Your passion is obvious. I grin to think what our news world would be like IF ( and that is a humongous IF) only ten percent of our news system were half as good as YOU) Not sure our citizens could actually handle that much truth!! Seriously Jordan, you do GREAT work!! It is amazing. Your explanations of complicated things are concise and understandable, and you make it ALL interesting. I gotta get back into watching this. Thank you SO much for your reporting. I wish there were a way to make all your supporters actually realize all the WORK that goes into producing the fine finished product we see here. It is a standard that VERY little of youtube, heck, even less of the news world, can even dream of attaining. Blessings on you young man. Keep your standards and integrity. You are a shining light and a dark world.

Hi Jordan! Looks different with grass. Thanks for the update. Hope you get some rain soon.

The implement behind the tractor spreading straw is called a bail buster. Usually used to spread straw bedding for livestock.
Keep up the good work. I especially enjoy the drone footage.

3:55 It's called a bale shredder. We used one with smaller hay bales when we seeded 3 acres of grass. Your description is spot-on.

Do you know if they plan to let the grass area grow back to forest or will they keep it mowed so it's more like a park area?

I believe it will grow back naturally as a forest

I've said it before, I think it is silly that they didn't keep the new channel as the main as it clearly makes a straight shot towards the bridge from the exit from the dam. What happened before will happen again now that they have put it back the way it was. They could have used the dirt and filled in the original channel and a more natural flow would have been established.

First time on your channel, looks like they should just remove the old powerhouse. Maybe the EMERGENCY overflow should be made for a 100 year flood. Nice show Jordan.

All those lake side houses are now grass land houses. Did a lot of folk move over the years or have they got used to the change?

Some people have. Especially those that were older and dont expect to see the lake filled in their lifetime.

It would be nice if they could contact DNR specialists to contour the lake bed to make it a perfect lake for fishing. It would be a great opportunity to anchor in some large tree roots, logs and other items for fish to gather and dig holes in other regions for various drop offs. Talk about a perfect opportunity to make that a premier bass lake.

I live in Bay City Mi, and I see bald eagles on a fairly regular basis near the Saginaw river and bay. Last year I even saw one flying off with a dead squirrel on 21st street near the river, and watched one land on a tree one block from where I live in the center of town.

Yes, but not for a few more years. Understand that this is a HUGE job, and involves many lakes and dams, not just one. The dikes walls will be rebuilt, and gates added to the dams so the water can refill the lakes.
